She's Got An Edge

My heart pounded fast as I walked up to the door labeled "Executive president" before I could even knock there stood Brandi Rhodes on the opposite side smiling at me.
"Kacey Kash it's nice to finally meet you" she smirked and I could already tell that she was up to no good.
I gulped hard taking a seat on the red leather couch, she offered me wine and even a shot of tequila to "calm my nerves"

"Listen doll don't be nervous just try and relax while we wait for Cody" there was something in her tone that made me uneasy. It had only been a few weeks since AEW announced that I would be signing with them, this was my second offer the first from WWE. But since I wanted more control I chose All Elite, I had heard many great things about this promotion and I wasn't in the business of selling my soul for a pay check.
"Kacey you have quite the buzz throughout the underground scene I'm truly honored that you chose to sign with us."

I smiled looking into her hazel eyes trying to find even a hint of dishonesty but there was none to be detected.
"I love wrestling" was all I said.
Brandi clapped her hands together loudly at the sight of her platinum blonde husband.

"Ahh Kacey you made it such a pleasure to meet you kid."
Cody gave me a friendly pat on the shoulder before sitting down in the office chair across from me "so what do you want to know?"

Cody had his game face on and I could tell that he meant business, trying to steady my breathing I began to feel slightly frantic.
"Why was I given this opportunity so fast? I mean there are thousands of women that you could've easily given this spot too."
Granted even though I had all the confidence in the ring outside of it I couldn't help but to be insecure.
Cody smiled and looked at his wife she nodded her head slightly asking him to continue "Kacey Kash your brilliant, you've got it all the look, the skill, the edge not to mention phenomenal mic skills."

I straightened my posture out and gave myself a mental pat on the back "I guess I am your girl" I beamed happily, this was my moment and no matter how twisted things got in my head I always come prepared for the fight.

"Now upon special request the Elite, Matt and Nick Jackson want you to be apart of an amazing storyline with them. Now I know It's a lot to take on as your first on screen story but we know you will surpass expectations Kacey."

I sat there in disbelief no way did the Elite want to work with me? Cody handed me a simple script of what the story entailed but everything else was left to me.
"Anything you say on television can and will be used against you, so play it smart and think before you speak Kacey. The story will start next week but for now I'm going to introduce you to the boys, they'll be pleased to know that you made it."

Cody lead me down a dimly lit hallway wrestlers of every caliber stood talking amongst themselves, some of them smiled happily that I would joining the roster... others not so much. It was Tuesday so you know dynamite was live and rocking, the Bucks had just won their match against The Best Friends and they were pumped fueled with excitement.
"Boys I'd like you to meet Kacey know go easy on her she's kind of nervous."
Cody gave me a wink before disappearing into the chaotic backstage scene, Matt was the first to greet me "Kacey we've been expecting you" he extending a hand to me and I accepted smiling as a response.

"Come on let's go over the storyline if your lucky we'll run into Kenny."
My heart fell to my feet at the mention of his name Kenny Omega the best in the business not to mention the world.

"So how old are you 19?" Nick sneered, I rolled my eyes guessing this was some kind of hazing gesture.
"I'm 22 for your information and by the way don't you think it's time you two changed your name to middle aged bucks?"

Matt chuckled slapping his knee while Nick didn't look so impressed, we made it to catering and I sat down to the right of Matt sensing that he was the nicer brother.
"So Kacey Kash you have quite the resume tell me again, why you never signed with the other promotion?"

By the "other promotion" he meant WWE it was like the company and anyone who had anything to do with Vince McMahon was forbidden territory here.

"Uh I guess AEW just offered more freedom, I don't want to be controlled because I already know who I am. There isn't any amount of money in this world that could make me forget about where Kacey Kash started and where she wanted to be."

Nick smirked nodding his head slightly and finally I felt like I was earning his approval, usually I'm not much of a people pleaser but here in AEW I just wanted to start off on the right foot.
"Well said young blood well said" Matt gave me a smile he was a sweetheart as far as I could tell and I hoped that one day we could be friends.

"Ahhh there he is!" Nick clapped loudly snapping me from my thoughts, and there he stood beach blonde with a killer presence Kenny Omega.
"Hello boys and Gal?" He smirked looking me up and down I almost felt exposed under his gaze, suddenly his eyes stopped and met mines.

"You must be Kacey K I would tell you who I am but I'm sure you already know doll."
Kenny was cocky but for some odd reason he did not strike me as an asshole, maybe when your that good you don't have time for petty games.

"Stick with us kiddo and we'll show you the ropes" he popped a toothpick between his teeth and took a seat closest to me.
"First things first you have got to cut the good girl act"
