"That was a setup Matthew!" I yell storming into our suite, I had just been put on the spot in the most uncomfortable position of my life.
"Babe I swear I didn't know" he pleaded to defend himself.
I paced back and forth gathering all of my belongings smashing my suitcase shut. Matthew sat on the couch with his head bowed into his hands, he sighed heavily looking up at me "Kacey I swear" again he pleaded.
The feeling of anger washed over me and betrayal set in, not from Matthew but me. I had spent the last few weeks parading around California with him, forgetting all about my friends and the life I started to build at AEW. I was supposed to be an elite Kenny excepted me like one of his own even though I wasn't.

"I believe you" I sighed breathlessly, Matt released a deep huff standing to his feet, he engulfed me in a hug "baby I would never try and make any career moves for you, besides I like my girlfriend fighting for the other team it's hot" he joked.
I laughed and placed a small kiss on his lips "such a dork" I teased embracing him even more.

Just as the situation defused another one started to arise, suddenly my phone rang off the hook like crazy "who is it" Matt groaned peeking his head up from the pillow, I glanced at my phone before jumping up out of bed.
"Hello? Kenny? Is everything alright it's 3 in the morning?" I half yelled frantically, Matt perched up now he was fully awake.
"So I guess your signing with the big boys now huh?" He sneered, I could hear the drunk oozing off his words,
"What?" I say my blood running cold, he cackled loudly "it's all over the internet babe, don't play silly. The whole roster knows how much big money Vince is offering to take you in."

My heart dropped I put the phone on speaker and opened the Twitter app on my phone, there it was clear as day my name was next to WWE everywhere.
"God I hate social media Kenny I'm not signing with Vince!" But before I could even finish speaking the call disconnected.
"Babe it's 2 in the morning come to bed, we can deal with everything in the morning."
Matt spoke groggily, but an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach settled in. I know this was going to affect my dynamic with everyone in my place of work, I just wish Kenny would have spoken to me before jumping to conclusions.
"Okay" I sighed getting myself back into bed, Matt pulled me close breathing in deeply.
"I love you take your gorgeous soul to bed, and I promise we'll face everything together."

My feet dragged stomped heavily against the ground I charged into Cody's office, he and Brandi were startled at my sudden entrance.
"I'm not leaving AEW, for any amount of money, I put my blood sweat in tears into becoming the face of the company and I do not intend on leaving anytime soon."

Cody smiled standing to hit feet "There's our girl" he clapped proudly.
"Now if that's finished I think I have a title match I should be preparing for"
I kept my head down as I walked to my shared locker room with the elite, right now I couldn't stomach the funny looks or sly remarks. But by the end of the night everyone will wish they gave me the benefit of the doubt, hopefully, Kenny would believe me now.
"Hey boys," I said softly greeting the young bucks, "we knew you weren't going to sign Kacey," Nick said nonchalantly.
"Okay, you two can drop the cool guy act come here and hug me" I opened my arms wide enough for the both of them "we've missed you girl, how are things with you and Matt?"
I laughed to myself it was funny Matt Jackson asked about Matt Riddle, I explained to them that he and I are doing good. Things got a little out of control the other night at HOF but our relationship is built on newly found trust.
We spoke amongst ourselves until the show started, I was just putting the finishing touches on my gear for the night.
"Kacey your match is on last tonight," Nick said as we walked through the venue, I nodded my head gulping wow I was in the main event.
The night passed on but there was no sign of Kenny "hey guys where's K.O?" I ask, Nick, shrugged his shoulders "who knows he's probably still mad because he has a huge crush on you."
The earned him a smack on the back of the head from his brother "Dude you were not supposed to say that?"
I blinked In disbelief "he what?" I ask again but this time Matt answered "yes Kacey, Kenny likes you don't you understand? When Matt Riddle showed up here a few weeks back he was livid, I guess he finally dared to ask you out and before he could you were been swept away by someone else."

"No time to sulk about it now Kacey your match is next you need to stay focused, you have to win for us to carry on our storyline."
