Being An Elite

A small surprise

"Your doing great kid keep it up" Kenny shouted, I shot him a smirk before continuing my takedown on Jade. She was starting to wear down I could see the look of defeat in her eyes, victory was near no doubt the bigger they are the hardest they will always fall.

She backed away from me crawling to the turnbuckle I had my target set "WHAT'S MY NAME!" I shouted to the crowd "KACEY KASH."

I ran at her full force my knee colliding with her chest, she gasped for air stunned by the impact of the blow. Jade's eyes widened but I wasn't done knee after knee I pounded her chest in until I felt like it was enough.

The crowd went mental as I sat her up for a move I had never done until tonight, as my aching body went numb I leaped off the top rope landing a perfect 450 frog splash.
Jade groaned in pain and I mustered up the strength to cover her "1,2,3"

"And the winner of this match and NEW number one contender for the AEW women's championship KACEYYY KASHHHHH"

Kenny pulled me out the ring lifting me over his shoulders as I laughed hysterically, Jade was livid shooting my death stares as we backed up the ramp.

"Absolutely perfect" Nick beamed, Kenny set me on my feet and draped his AEW world title over my shoulders "suits you well kid."

I couldn't do anything but smile in my victory there wasn't a doubt in my mind that I would beat her, unfortunately most of the women here were all glory and no guts.

Everyone wanted the top spot but nobody had what it took to get it, I was told before my signing that I would be the wild card. I was going to be the reason the women here stepped up their game and so far I've proven exactly why they call me the best.

The boys and I walked back to our private dressing room to kick it after my match, the show had just started so we had time to kill.
"Yo that splash was insane Kacey I can't believe you pulled it off, it took Matt two years to perfect it."

Kenny gushed over me and my cheeks became flushed with adoration, Kenny was one of my idols even if he didn't know it.
"Thanks KO that means a lot coming from you" he smiled and put a hand out stopping me from entering our dressing room.

"Wait something feels off?" He said suddenly, I furrowed my eyebrows together confused.
"What are you talking about?"
He opened the door and right before my eyes was Matt Riddle, Kenny scoffed marching over to him "I knew I smelled a bitch in here" he pulled him to his feet by the collar of his shirt, Matt threw his hands up surrendering.
"Relax bro I just came to talk to my girl"

"Your girl?" I spat, there should have been some forbidden law against him being here "Kacey babe I risked my job to be here please just talk to me."
I could hear the sorrow in his tone and  it made me feel sad, I've missed his voice terribly and those big blue eyes that I had grown to be a sucker for.

Kenny looked at me his eyes threatening to say more then his mouth ever would "Kacey you don't have to do this."
It almost sounded like he didn't want me too, I sighed mouthing the words "I'm sorry" before I motioned him to follow me.

"What are you doing here?" I spoke in a low tone not daring to look him straight in the eye.
"Kacey I'm going crazy without you baby I screwed things up, but I promise the divorce is final now please just come home with me."

But he knew that I couldn't because home meant being away from AEW "Matthew even if I wanted to you know there are just certain things that we can't do now."

"Screw what everyone thinks Kacey I miss you"
He pulled me into his arms and the familiar scent of his cologne filled my nose.
"You mean everything to me" he said.

"You hurt me really bad Matt I took a big chance being with you"
But he didn't let me go instead he placed his hand under my chin and softly placed his lips against mine.
"I can't let you go" he breathed out "I love you."
