The boss looked at my application.

I could see his eyes crease with guilt.

"The biggest nuisance here eh? Well, let's assign you with Saiko, she is very difficult..."

I bowed.

"Thank you sir! I won't disappoint you!" I said enthusiastically.

He smiled sadly.

"Ok... If she tries to attack you, call me using this... We only use it on severely messed up... patients... Keep in mind she has killed over fifty people, including her own parents when you see her, so do not be fooled by her appearance..." He said, handing him a small earphone.

"We will also be listening to your conversations with her so we'll know if she threatens you..."

"Thank you sir! I will do my best!" I shouted, looking for room C76.

When I finally reached the room, I saw a little girl, about four, asleep in a bed.

Hot tears of anger ran down my cheeks.

She's only a kid!!!! I yelled in my head.

She suddenly got up.

I froze as she walked towards me, her eyes absent from what was going on around her.

It looked as if she didn't even notice me there.

I looked down.

In her arms was a teddy bear.

Seems normal enough... I thought.

But once she got closer, I saw the teddy bear had dried blood stains on it.

She seemed to notice I was there and reached out towards me.

I backed away slightly.

"Hello, Minamoto Kun..." She said smiling like a fucking sadist.

I backed away one step more.

"H-how do you know my name!?" I exclaimed, sweat running down my face.

She grinned even bigger, grabbing a knife out of the teddy bear, running her finger across the sharp edge.

"'They' told me..." She laughed maniacally, running towards the bars and trying to cut me with the knife.

I backed away, falling into a wall.

She then stopped trying to slice me and stared into space again.

She then smiled, the tip of the knife against her cheek.

"Don't be shy, report me to admin, I know about the earphone, 'they' told me!" She laughed.

"W-why would they tell you?" I said, rather shocked.

She laughed.

"'They' are right behind you!" She said, pointing.

I turned around.

No one was there.

"Listen kid, I don't know what you're playing at but I'm here to guard you..." I said sternly.

She giggled.

"You're lucky you're outside the bars, I could end you swiftly if I want to, just like 'them'"

"Who are 'they'?" I asked.

She giggled.

"Have you not heard the myth? If you kill someone they stay with you forever?" She said, cocking her head, hands on the bars.

"You're fucked!!!" I yelled.

She gasped, walking backwards, shakily pointing at me, eyes wide in terror.

"T-they, they didn't like that!" She screamed, gripping her head in agony.

The boss ran up with six men.

She screamed to no end, her voice getting shriller by the second.

"Hold her down!" The boss commanded.

The six men tried to do so but she was too strong.

They went sprawling headfirst into the bars, the young girl kicking them with all her might.

One man managed to hold her down and lower the mask onto her face.

Her eyes slowly shut.

"Don't say swear words around her, I should've mentioned it, I apologize, I think, after all that, you should go home for the day..." The boss said, patting me on the back.

"Who are 'they'?" I asked.

"She told you, basically 'they' are the fifty people she's killed..." He then looked at the bars.

"Actually... Fifty six..." He sighed, gesturing to the bars where the bloody corpses of the other six men were, heads shoved between the bars.

At the apartment

I couldn't get that girl off my mind, her brown eyes looked so scared when I swore.

Her black hair was in a small bowl cut that I originally thought was cute.

Now I'm realising it hid a complete psychopathic monster.

I sighed and went to sleep.
