| 19. He is back |

It had been four days since the team had left, everyone in the academy was waiting for them to send some message about the mission and everyone's safety, the training sessions were all going well as the cadets were all determined not to let the hard work of their trainers go in vain and give their best even in their absence.

It was the fifth day now, everyone was present in the mess, Monami was also sitting with her friends, but she was lost in her thoughts, everyone could understand her situation.

"Monu, kuch toh khale... I know tu tensed hai, hum sab bhi hai, par health ka dhyaan toh rakhna padega naa bro..." Sid said to her, breaking her trance.

"Haa Monami, Sid  bilkul thik keh raha hai... Suman ji ki suno aur thoda sa kha lo, jab Karan sir aayenge aur unhe pata chalega ki tum yeh sab kar rahi thi toh unhe kaisa lagega..." Suman ji added supporting Sid and making Monami understand.

Monami looked at them with a small smile, seeing their concern for her, "I know aap sabko meri chinta hai, but kya karu... mujhe kuch thik nahi lag raha hai... jaise kuch hone wala hai..." she said and all were confused hearing her.

"Arey doctor madam, itna mat sochiye... life mein itna load bhi nahi lena chahiye..." Bala said trying to assure her.

"Haa Monami, Bala thik keh raha hai... itna mat socho... woh log thik honge aur jald hi aa jayenge..." Koel also tried her best.

Monami was about to say something when she stopped seeing Col. Batra there, seeing Monami quiet, everyone else also saw in the direction she was looking at, they all stood up as they saw him and immediately greeted him.

"At ease cadets..." he said, there was a smile on his face and everyone knew there was some good news coming their way, "Shergill ka phone aaya tha for reporting..." he said and everyone waited for him to complete his talk, "Mission was successful..." he said and everyone sighed in relief and looked at each other, "Woh log aaj shaam tak yaha pohach jayenge..." he completed and everyone was happy hearing him.

"Ab toh smile kar de Monu... tera Khadoos Shergill aa raha hai wapas..." Sid whispered in her ears and she smiled hearing him, Sid was relieved to see her smile.

"Tu bhi toh khush hoga... teri bhi toh..." Monami stopped mid-sentence as she remembered about Sanjana's engagement.

"Kya hua, ruk kyu gayi... bolde I know meri Ms. Tod-fod bhi wapas aa rahi hai..." Sid said smiling widely, Monami felt her heartbreaking at this, but she composed herself and smiled while nodding.

"Sid ko jitni jaldi pata chal jaye, better hoga... I have to talk to Sanju..." Monami thought.

In the evening, everyone was waiting at the gate for the team, Monami was constantly looking at the gate waiting for Karan to come, Col. Batra had told them that they were all safe and not much injured, but she wanted to see for herself.

"Aa gaye woh log..." Koel said and all looked towards the gate, one by one the vehicles entered the academy premises and the agents started getting down, everyone was waiting for Faizi, Sanjana, and Karan to get down, "Faizi..." Koel sighed in relief seeing him get down the jeep and walk towards them, she had never shown it to anyone, but she did care for him and that he did matter to her.

"Lakh chupa le yeh mohtarma... hamari fikar toh karti hai yeh..." Faizi thought with a smile as he continued walking towards them looking at Koel.

"Sanju..." Sid said with a wide smile as he saw her following Faizi, she was also looking at him, he smiled even more seeing her looking at him, Sanjana felt something break inside her seeing Sid's smile, even after so many months his hope was still alive, she could not break his heart more.
