Calamitas Pov

-Ah! Why is it so chilly this month?

I remembered that tree, I don't know what they're doing with it, so I decided to take a look at it. Peering my head through the window, I could see lights, not any normal ones though. They were colourful, I felt a feeling of eeriness, like someone was watching. Though I couldn't see anyone around in the cold air. But when I saw the moon I knew what that feeling was coming from, the moon had a face, it looked like a snowman. I had suddenly remembered reading about these moons. Which could either be activated with an eldritch artifact, forged with silk and some other things. The reason I don't know is because the recipes were ripped out of the book, for some reason. Or they can just appear in the month of December.

-I should probably just go sleep. It's late anyways.

My bed was warm, since this month had been so cold, but even though I was warm, I still couldn't get to sleep. I started getting annoyed, but eventually I just gave up on the idea of trying to sleep the rest of the night away. Instead I just got out of my pajamas and got into my robe. I decided to go to Jakes house and see if he's awake. When I exited the building I lived in, I felt a gust of wind go past my face, it was cold just like everything else here. Looking to my right I saw his house, I had a key to enter that he had gave to me for whatever reason I had to come into his house. The walk over there wasn't that bad, it was quite peaceful. I thought that there may had been monsters coming to attack me, but there wasn't. Then I was standing in front of his door, I fumbled with my keys trying to find the right one, and when I did the lights were on inside the house, this was a good sign. He'd probably be in his living room, so I checked there first, and I saw him with some sort of device on his eyes and flailing his arms around everywhere.

-Uh, hello?

I think I had startled him.

-Jesus christ, you scared me, and why are you up so late?

Knew I startled him.

-I can't really sleep, also what's with that tree outside?

-Um, you'll see what that tree is about later, but do you want something?

-Well what's with that thing that was on your face.

-Oh, that's a virtual reality headset.

-Huh, well what can you do on it?

-You can play games, you can talk to people, um you can lose your eardrums to 2 year olds when they get hit in paintball.

-Oh, interesting. Can I see one of the games?

-Alright, just a sec.

He grabbed the remote and turned the tv on, I wondered why he'd turn the tv on, these types of things confuse me. Something showed up on the tv which said, cast to oculus. He used the remote to press cast. Then I saw an array of games on the tv, the hands pointed towards something called, rec room?

-What's rec room?

-So you can either talk to people, play games and build stuff! It's pretty fun in my opinion.

The tv then began to say loading and soon after that there was a mirror on the screen and a person.
