I came back with my eyes all big. Mia was worried that Devon was a stalker or something so she didn't even bother to ask about him. My reputation will go down. No, not down, I mean like helldown. Even farer than hell. What should I do? What can I do?

The day went through really fast. Even though I was shocked underneath my calm appearance. I closed my locker and took huge steps through the hallway right on the middle, with Mia. Everyone made way for us as usual. I accidentally hit my shoulder on a girl with glasses and she fell on the ground. She's one of those girls who admire me.

"Ooooh! Oh my God! I am sooo sorry!" Yeah, I did overdo it but whatever. She looked at me and I helped her up. I am not one of those mean popular girls. But if I was one I had the exact opportunity to tell her "Oh, sorry I just didn't see you." or something like that. She thanked me nervously and even bowed out of thankness.

"No need, I should look around myself now and then." I joked. I saw her wearing a really pretty necklace that sparkled as diamonds. "Wow. that's a really cute necklace!" I said as if it was some kind of God. She blushed and thanked me once again. I really do have a good effect on girls it seems like. I looked at the clock and smiled to her. "Oupseee! Gotta go sweetheart! Don't trip again!" She blushed even more and I turned my heels to the door and went out. When I reached the gate I hugged Mia and we parted. "I'll miss you baby." she smiled. "I'll miss you even more." I cried with my sad face. No, there is school tomorrow but we're always like this. It's actually fun exaggerating like this.

I went to the straight way home while some cars of my fake friends passed by and waved to me. As usual there was really many cars passing by me because I am about the only one who walkes to school. Later on there were no more cars passing by and I was alone. And when I'm alone I turn automaticely to the one-mode. Because I'm alone. I started spitting on the ground and then I heard steps behind me. I looked back and saw Devon. I had to ask.

I slowed down and waited for him. He got closer and closer. I started regretting that I waited for him.

"Hey." he greeted me as if we met for the first time.

"Hi."

Wow. This is embarrasing isn't it? It was really quiet.I finally dared to say something.

"Why were you behing me? Are you stalking me?" I asked as if I was Mia. He started to laugh. His laugh was like some kind of music that calmed me down.

"Of course." he smiled with an ironic tone. Shit. His smile. I can't even describe it. He's become even more handsome these past 7 years.

"Just kidding, but I walk this way too." he said. I wanted to ask where he lived but I could guess when I though of the apartmenthouse they're renting out next to ours. "Oh." was all I could say. I saw my house and took some steps back. He turned and asked what was wrong.

"Shut up." I said and dropped my bag and opened it. I put my heels in it with my belt. I brushed my hair, tied it up and fixed everything else. He just stood there looking at me like a deer in highlights while I made my transformation. "What the-"

"Chantelle!" mother called. Our head turned to her direction. "Mother!" I called back. I hugged her saying "I'm back." She smiled. "Welcome home." Our family is really warm I guess. Devon just stood there. He walked to the stairs in front of our house and said hi.

"Oh my. Are perhaps... Devon Crafts?" she asked surprised. He nodded.

"Wow... You've become a really handsome!" I covered my face in embarrassment.

"Thank you Ms. Marjour." Just go Devon. Go! Before my mom invite you in!

"Why don't you come in for some tea?" Darn it. I saw how my mom was only looking at Devon and I had a good opportunity making faces and telling him to say no. I even shook my head because I thought he didn't get my point. He smiled.

"Sure."

When my mom led him in I glared at him. "Whatta hell!" I whispered. He didn't say anything back. He just smiled devilishly. I sighed. Mother poured him a cup of her favourite Oolong tea and we sat down. This won't do. If I know mother right she'll start asking him hundreds of questions. But this time mother wasn't the one asking questions.

"Did you put Chantelle in a mental hospital?" he asked and out of nowhere I stood up.

"Mother."

"Yes my beautiful Chantelle?"

"I'll take Devon to my room. I have some homework stuff I need to ask about."

Before I could get any answer I dragged Devon to the stairs. Mother called for me again.

"Yes?"

"How about the tea?" she asked and pointed at the Oolong tea. I saw how hot it was, there was steam flying up.

"Just put it behind the door and Mr. Crafts will take care of it later." I said desperately while pulling him up the stairs. I saw his face for a second and he was all about to laugh like hell. What's so funny?! Oh shit. I totally forgot I just showed him my second-mode. And did I just call him Mr. Crafts?! I was so disgusted at that moment. When I closed the door he started laughing - really loud. Then he took a look at my room.

"What's the matter...? I first thought you've become a stupid blonde but now you're a rich smart girl? What else? A black Britney Spears?" he laughed. I hate the thought that he actually was right.

"I'll tell you!"

His laugh stopped.

"What?"

I looked deeply into his eyes.

"About my past."
