Today was the day I had long awaited.
The Weasleys were coming to pick us off from the Dursley's. We're going to the Quidditch World Cup and I couldn't even explain how excited I was. Excited for the World Cup, excited to get out of here and also excited to see the Weasley family and Hermione again.

Harry and I had packed our stuff yesterday. So we were just waiting now. Aunt Petunia and uncle Vernon were nervous about the arrival of the Weasleys. Usually they wouldn't have anything to do with „this kind of people".

We listened to uncle Vernons rant.
„They'll take them and go, there'll be no hanging around. That's if they're coming at all. Probably mistake the day. I dare say their kind don't set much store by punctuality. Either that or they drive some tinpot car that's broken d- AAAAAARRRGGHH!", we heard him scream and ran into the living room.

„What happened?", I asked, wand in hand just in case.

And then heard it. There was a scratching and knocking on the boards that are nailed in front of the fireplace. Muffled voices could be heard as well. I recognized them as soon as I heard them and couldn't help but laugh about the curiosity of this situation.

„Ouch! Fred, no, go back, go back, there's been some kind of mistake –tell George not to – OUCH! George, no, there's no room, go back quickly and tell Ron..". We heard Mr. Weasley and the boys argue about what possibly could have happened.

„Harry, Penny, can you hear us?", he screamed and punched against the boards. Harry approached the fireplace.

„Mr. Weasley, can you hear me?", he asked.

Harry explained what was going on and Mr. Weasley got excited about the electric fireplace, of course. Last time it was a rubber duck. I stood a few feet back and at this point the tears were running from my eyes because of how hard I tried not to laugh.

„What are we doing here? Has something gone wrong?" I heard Ron's voice now.

„Oh no, Ron. NO, this is exactly where we wanted to end up." Fred's voice, laced with sarcasm, could be heard. I clamped a hand over my mouth when George said „Yeah, we're having the time of our lives here.". I definitely missed the two boy's the most.

After several minutes of discussing we heard a loud bang. Aunt Petunia let out a high pitched scream. And then Mr. Weasley, the twins and Ron were coming out of the fireplace. Or what is left of it. Before I could react the twins engulfed me in a bone crushing hug which I gladly returned.

„I missed you both so badly.", I said with a smile, while they ruffled my hair.

Mr. Weasley unsuccessfully tried to make conversation with the Dursleys while Fred and George went to get our bags from our room upstairs. After another couple of minutes we were finally able to leave. Thank Merlin.

-----
The moment I first stepped out of the fireplace in the living room of the Burrow, I immediately felt at home. I looked around the familiar room that I've missed so much and breathed in the inviting scent of home made cooking.
Mrs. Weasley must have heard our arrival because she came out of the kitchen towards the living room. As soon as she saw me, she wiped her hands on her apron and came to hug me. Mrs. Weasley's hugs were always the best. This is how it must feel when you are hugged by your mother.

Gradually the others stepped out of the fireplace as well. When it was Harry's time Mrs. Weasley hugged him too. I know that Mrs. Weasley saw me as one of her own, but Harry always had this special bond to her. Not that I mind actually, I've always felt more connected to Mr. Weasley anyway.

I heard Mr. Weasley scolding the twins, seems that they „accidentally" dropped some Ton-Tongue-Toffee that Dudley – for obvious reasons – couldn't resist. The twins wrote me all about their inventions and plans for Weasley's Wizard Wheezes during the summer, so I wasn't surprised, that they tested one on my cousin, especially because I might have told them about his diet.

Bad for them, Mrs. Weasley heard the conversation and now it's her time to scold them. When I went further into the house I could faintly hear other voices. And when I got nearer to the kitchen I was greeted and hugged by Ginny, Bill, Charlie and Percy, the latter only waved at me.

„Bill, Charlie, be so nice and bring Harry's and Penelope's bags upstairs, yes?" Mrs. Weasley came into the kitchen and smiled at her oldest sons.

„No need for that, I can do it myself." I responded, but she just shook her head.

„Don't be silly dear, the boys will do that. You and Harry just sit down and enjoy a cup of tea, alright?", as soon as we sat down, we both had a steaming hot cup of tea in front of us.

The rest of the evening went by fast. Mrs. Weasley has made an amazing dinner as always and the house was filled with laughter and loud chatting until it was time for all of us to go to bed. Tomorrow we're going to the Quidditch World Cup so we have to get up early in the morning. And as soon as my head hit the pillow I drifted off to a peaceful sleep.
