ANGEL FROWNED AS SHE stood between two of the hargreeves brothers, in a pub not too far from her own diner. five's eyes darted around the room, searching for himself just as angel had done so many times before. luther stood too, right beside angel, his eyes flickering down to the younger girl every so often to check that she was still okay. god know five couldnt do that right now.

"well ... there i am." an old man sat on a table alone, a briefcase in hand, one that glowed a blue colour in certain lights. angel had known it. five was just as good looking then as he was now, and she'd be there to witness it. "why don't we just grab the briefcase and run?" five's eyes darted towards his older brother, glaring at him with a glint in his eye. "luther, i would never let that happen. we're trained to guard these cases with our lives."

angel had never guarded anything with her life. the only thing she really hid from anybody was her diary, and even then, rudy had managed to get a sneak peek of her dazing about james from the diner. not that she'd look twice at the older boy now, five was the only man in her eyes. "i'm endangering my existence just being in the room with myself." angel slapped five's arm gently, trying to signal that the older version of himself was twitching, just as he was.

"our best chance is to talk with him. reason with him." angel giggled lowly, her whiskey orbs connecting with five's own pine ones. "because you're so reasonable, dear?" the boy gave her a deadpanned look, wrapping an arm softly around her shoulder and tugging her into his side. he lifted his hand from her for a moment, scratching at the skin of his neck right where his collar was. angel tapped luther, nodding her head towards the boy itching.

"stage two. itching. you just itched, five." the boy rolled his eyes, getting ready to walk over towards himself, until a large hairy hand stopped him. "maybe i should go first. bumping into your own tiny doppelganger. he'll lose his shit." angel nodded in agreement, her hand wrapping around five's bicep with a smile spreading across her lips for reassurance. the couple watched as the tall man spoke to five, or old five, angel's eyebrows knitting together.

five and angel took their cue from luther, coming out of the shadows together, hand in hand. but it seemed that the elder five was less afraid of seeing his younger self, but more afraid of the small brunette that stood by his side. "angel..." the girl's brows knitted together, her grip tightening on her boy's bicep as she looked at the older man. "is it really angel?" his eyes flickered up to luther, who nodded with a small frown.

"i can't believe i'm seeing you again." the girl smiled slightly, her eyes flickering towards the younger version, who was beginning to wrap his arm around his girl's waist. the four took a seat at a table, the two five's glaring daggers at each other, as angel and luther sat uneasily beside them both. "somebody explain to me how it is i'm having a pint of guinness with my younger self and my dead wife?" angel's eyes flipped towards the older man, frowning slightly.

"i'm older, actually. and angel is very much alive." the younger five was smug seeing his older self, but angel felt increasingly uneasy every time he mentioned that she was dead. she was sixteen years old, how could she possibly be dead? the young girl had completely zoned out from the conversations between her boys, instead thinking about how she could have possibly been five's wife. although the thought was amazing.

angel only zoned back in once the elder five stood up, pulling his briefcase with him and walking towards the men's toilets with a frown on his lips.

          "i'm so lost."
