Mommy, why can't I go outside?” I asks with tears in my eyes

“Because Mommy has work to do.”  She responds with a huff

“Why”

“Because Mommy has a job-”

“So? Why can't we play while you work?”

“Because that's not what big girls do.”

“But I big girl.” I pout

“Emma… I really don't have time for this. Just go and be good like Sam. Play in your room or something.” Mom sighs in frustration

“But-”

“For heaven's sake just go.” Mom shouts before aggressively pointing towards the door to lead into the hallway.

“I sorry.” I whimper out quietly before leaving her room and sulking my way to Sam and I’s room. The room was completely empty as I made my way to my purple sheeted bed with a sigh. Glancing at the window every now and then I waited for my big brothers to show up knowing that they would play with me unlike Mommy. As if on cue Markos head poked into my window with a smile

“Hi sweetheart!” He cheers while making his way into the room

“Marko!” I shout excitedly before be put his finger on his lips which I quickly mimicked

“We have to be quiet…We don't want your mommy to know about us right?” He reminds, which I quickly nod in response

“Where are the others?”

“Oh they were a little busy tonight sweetie.”

“Too busy for me?” I pout

“Now Emma you know they would have come if they could have. We all love you very much, but we had some business to be taken care of. “ Marko responds

“What type of business?” I ask

“Don't worry about it honey, it's far too much for a little girl like you to understand.”

“Nuh uh.” I frown

“Uh huh,” He chuckles before lifting me up

“Nuh uh.” I pout crossing my arms, only earning a soft chuckle from Marko as he lightly taps my nose.

“Come here angel,” He smiles while reaching down to lift me up, “Now you listen here. When your brothers dont tell you something, know that it is for your own good because we don't want any harm coming to you.”

“okay,” I sigh in defeat

“Awe good girl, now why were you so sad? Hm? What happened bubby?”

“Mommy yelled at me.” I frown at the thought of the last interaction that happened between Mommy and I.

“She did?”

“Yes because I wanted to play and she didn't because she likes work better.” I continue to pout as Marko smiles in amusement.

“Shame on her. She should have her focus on you twenty four seven.” He speaks with a playful tone before setting me down.

“Exactly.” I giggle as he walks over to my bed.

“Well, I think I have something to cheer you up!” Marko tells me
