I decided to go home. I walked for a bit before it started raining.
I flinched when thousands of raindrops started falling on me.
I started running home. I had to cross the street.
In a hurry, I crossed without looking.
"watch out!" Someone yelled. I saw a speeding car heading my way fast.
Like Simba in 'The Lion King', the face he makes when the antelopes run at him...
That was my face.
I dived out of the way and panted as the guy slammed on his brakes and got out.
He started yelling-no, screaming- at me.
"ARE YOU RETARDED? YOU STUPID LITTLE-" he begun cursing me out.
"I'm sorry!" I cried.
"Sorry?! It's not good enough." He said and grabbed me by the hair and pulled me up.
I let out a cry in agony.
He took me and slammed my face into his window.
I cried more.
He did it twice more, and then pushed me back down.
"Idiot!" He yelled and sped off.
I felt dizzy and I was shaking. I felt my forehead and felt a warm substance.
It was blood.
"EMI!!!!" I screamed very loud. I scrambled up and began running again.
"EMI!!!!" I screamed again.
Almost there, I screamed a third time. I saw someone at our door. "Maou...?" I said aloud.
Ignoring the flashback, I screamed a last time.
She heard me then. "Isha-chan..." She trailed off once she saw my head.
"Oh, Isha!" She yelled and ran to me. My hair was all wet and it was cold.
"I-he... Emilia..." I cried and buried myself in her arms.
I pulled away and saw blood all over her shirt. "Who did this?" She asked.
"I-i don't know! He almost ran me over, but missed. Then he attacked me!" I explained, sniffling.
Maou came over and pulled me into a hug.
I stopped crying and he told me he would take care of the situation. I nodded.
"I'm getting the aid-kit." Emilia said and ran inside. Maou looked at me as he let go of me.
"I hope you'll understand," he said. "Understand what?" I asked.
Maou ignored my question and came closer to me. He wasn't blushing or embarrased.
Though I was. I didn't realize what he was doing until he closed his eyes.
"Maou?" I whispered right before...
Right before...
Right before he...
Kissed me.
