2023

Steve is standing in front of the mirror of a bathroom reminiscing his whole life. His birth (which he tried to remember but couldn't for the life of him), his childhood (the memory is quite foggy but it's still there), his first day of school, first kiss, the day he lost his virginity, basically all his firsts.

What they say is right, at the end of the day it's not the good things, achievements or successes that you remember, it's the mistakes, the pain, the heartbreak and the failures that you remember and make you the person who you are today.

Standing in front of the mirror that's exactly what Steve remembered. The first time he fell of a bicycle, all the fights that he lost, all the times he got humiliated, all  the exams he failed, all the people he lost, all the pain, all the heartbreak.

He strongly believes it's more the pain than the achievements that shaped him into the man he is today. Well also his mama taught him right!

"Hey punk! It's time you ready?" His inner monologue was interrupted by Bucky.

He closed his eyes before he looked into the mirror one last time to straighten his suit, but at moment he felt like some one started playing a movie, a movie filled with all failures, regrets and heartbreaks which all lead to this very moment.

A/N: This book is inspired by a movie called premam (transl. love), it's good flick you have to watch it in my opinion. This is my first time writing a book. I know this was very short, but the coming chapters will be longer, trust me on that one. I just wanna apologize for all the cringe that's in store for you lovely readers. Please vote and comment, you have no idea how much that means to me. It's a small gesture but it means a lot to me so please do that. (I'm practically groveling from the other side of the screen hence, just please do what you gotta do)
