Levi's P.O.V.
I entered the warm café as I started to take off my scarf. I took a seat in the nearest booth, waiting patiently for a waiter to take my order.
The snow outside was just beginning to stick to the ground. The sun was no where in sight, due to the thick blanket of clouds.
"It's been a while since we've seen snow, huh?" A voice said. My head snapped to look at who it was.
"Hey Hanji. And yes I suppose."
"Do you mind if I sit with you?" I nodded, motioning at the seat across from me. "So what are you doing here Hanji?"
"Came to get an espresso, why are you here?" She perked up as she saw a waitress bringing her espresso.
"I come here all the time. It's nice here." I looked at the waitress, "Black coffee and a muffin please."
"Ah, cool. Well I've gotta run, Petra wants me back home. I'll see you around Levi!" She waved as she got up and exited the cafe. I waved back, noticing my coffee and muffin was on it's way to my table.
"Here you go, sir. Beautiful outside isn't it?" The boy looked at me and smiled. "Yes, but the cold isn't too beautiful."
"May I?" He motioned to the seat across from me. I nodded.
"I'm Eren." He held his hand out as he sat down. I shook it. "I'm Levi."
"Well, hello Levi." He smiled.
I smiled back, picking up my coffee and taking a small sip.
"I'm sort of new here and I over heard that you come here all the time," he began. "I thought maybe I could get to know someone here, even if they don't work here."
"Well, hello Eren. How is it, working at the café?" I let out a small smile.
"It's a bit hectic at times. But it's alright I suppose," he smiled. "How's your day so far, Levi?"
"My day has been great so far. You?"
"It's been fine," he looked over at the counter. One of the waitresses was giving him a glare. "Oh.. I I-Uh. I better get back to work. See you around?"
I nodded, finishing off my coffee and muffin. "Thank you, for being my person to talk to. It means a lot." He said as he walked backwards behind the counter. "You're welcome, Eren."
I stood up, and walked to the register. I handed him the money as he rang up my total. I took my change, turned on my heel and waved goodbye to him.
As I stepped back into the bitter cold, I wrapped my scarf around my neck. I thought about heading back to my apartment but I had errands to run.
I turned the street corner and continued to the small book store.
9:56 a.m., my watch read. I searched throughout the store until I found a decent book. $28.98 later...
Books are so damn expensive. But they're great. So I guess I can settle.
I stood around for a bit longer, enjoying the scent of the bookstore.
I waved goodbye to the clerk and made my way to the super market. It was pretty busy when I arrived. I grabbed a basket, beginning my hunt.
Carrots, bread, shower gel, meat, cleaners, and gloves.
I quickly grabbed my items and made my way to the cash register. I paid, and left.
I made my way home, passing by the café. Eren was apparently having a hard time with a customer. He smiled at me as I kept walking, I smiled back.
I got home to my cozy apartment. I set the groceries down on the counter along with my book.
I put the refrigerated foods up and sat on the couch, beginning to read my book. But I couldn't concentrate on the book. All I was thinking about was Eren. His emerald green eyes, his messy brown hair, and his smile. It was cute. It was all I could think of.
Hours passed as I read the book. Once I finished it, I set it down and took a look at my watch. 5:32 p.m., I should probably go for a run.
I changed into my exercise clothing, and went off. I went around town running.
After about an hour of running, I decided to head home. I needed to eat and shower.
I began my journey back home, once again passing the café. I noticed Eren wasn't there anymore. Until I hit someone.
"I'm so sorry, I swear. I need to start looking where I'm going." I said looking up at who it was. Eren stood, bag in hand, and scarf over his neck.
"It's alright. It happens. I was just heading home anyways." He smiled as he started walking the direction I intended to go.
"Hey Eren," I start. I didn't know where I was going with this. "Would you like me to walk you home?"
His eyes lit up after I had said it. He nodded, "Yes, I'd like that. Thank you,"
We started walking towards home. We talked about how his day at work was and got to talking about ourselves. Turns out his birthday was here recently. I wished him a quick happy birthday as the conversation went on. He has an adopted sister, named Mikasa. And his mother died when he was younger, so he's living with his sister trying to keep things good for the both of them.
When we turned into my apartment complex I got confused. "You live here?" I questioned, as my face was clear with confusion.
"Yes, is there something wrong with these apartments?" He looked at me with an unknown look in his eyes. "No, no. I live here too. Up there actually." I pointed to my apartment as we walked up to his.
"Oh! Wow, I wasn't expecting all this today. Making a friend at the café and then finding out he lives upstairs," He seemed happy. "You should come by sometime. Dinner tomorrow night?"
I nodded slightly. "That'd be great. Thank you," he smiled. "I've gotta run. My refrigerator is calling me."
"Ah alright. Have a good night Levi!" He waved as he opened the apartment door. "You too!"
I got home, fixed a quick salad, and took my shower. I sat on the couch watching a documentary on the Colorado River. My mind started to drift off to Eren. And soon I was falling asleep with him on my mind.
