"CHANEL WAKE YO LAZY A*S UP NOW!!" Chanel heard her abusive mom yell from downstairs as she was asleep upstairs. She sighed and hopped out her bed. After using the bathroom and getting ready, she got her phone and headphones out.
Chanel quickly walked downstairs hoping for her mom to not see her speed walk past. "COME HERE LIL B*TCH!" Her mom commanded as she was smoking a cigarette. Chanel slowly walked to her knowing what's coming next. Her mom then took the cig out of her mouth and burned it out on Chanel's cheek as laughed. "AHH-" Chanel's screams were cut off by her mom slapping her down to the floor.
She was holding back her tears as her cheek was burning and stinging. "NOW GO TO SCHOOL WIT YO B*TCH A*S!! I SHOULD'VE ABORTED YOU WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE!" Her mom yelled pointing to the door. Chanel sucked in her tears and speed walked out the door.
Before walking to school, everyday she would go to the convenience store by the apartment she lived in. She didn't call if her home because it's not a place she could relax and put her guards down. While she's walking to the convenience store her best friend, Michelle, texted her. Being with her was the highlight of her day.

Chanel then put her phone in her pocket and walked into the convenience store. "Chanel!Good morning!" The clerk said happily. Why is everyone a morning person? She thought to herself. "Morning, Tassah!" She replied to the nice man. "The usual?" He said pulling out a breakfast bar. "Yes please and thank you"
She payed for the breakfast bar and said goodbye to Tassah. Outside the store she took her phone out with her headphones. Since it was a short walk, she played magnolia x pimp named slick back. That was her favorites song because it hyped her usual tired and depressed mood up.
After the song was finished she arrived at school. "Why so sad? These are your best years, live them!" A poster in her high school read. She sighed and thought If these are my best years ima hate adulthood.
