Chris, Alex and the captain rose their hands up in the air. Then slowly, Chris started turning around. The others followed. There was a hooded figure standing in front of them. The person had a light yellow-ish hood that covered their entire face. They were holding a staff in their hands, and they were pointing it towards Chris, who stood the closest to them. They had a visor on top of their eyes, that covered the remaining of their face. "Stay still, and nothing will happen to you." the figure said. "You're the one that's been stalking us this whole day. I saw you on top of the roofs in the town." Alex said. The hooded person didn't say a word. "Is that a voice changer you're using? An attachable voice changer on your face, that's very high tech. Where did you get that?" The captain mentioned. The hooded person stared at the captain. It was impossible to tell anything from their facial expressions, as their entire face was covered. "I don't want to be identified. Now, shut up." they said. Slowly, the hooded mystery person walked towards the bracelet. "Don't even think of trying anything." they said. Alex looked at Chris, trying to ask for ideas through facial expressions. While the hooded person was examining the bracelet, Chris rose three fingers up in the air. It was a countdown. Three. Two. One.

Chris leaped towards the hooded person, and grabbed their neck. It all happened so quick. The hooded person was lightning fast, as they used their elbow to hit Chris in the stomach. Chris yelled and let go of them. The person turned around, and hit Chris with their staff. Chris fell to the floor instantly. The captain was next on the line. All of them could instantly see that the hooded person was not a beginner with martial arts. The captain blocked a few hits of the staff, but he couldn't catch up with the speed of the hooded person, and got hit in the head. The captain fell to the floor, and there was a stream of blood coming out of his head. Chris started crawling towards the bracelet. Alex saw what he was doing, and decided to distract the hooded person. Alex ran towards them, and hit them in the chest. For a second, the hooded person seemed to be hurt, but it didn't last long until they were back in the fight. They swung their staff towards Alex, but Alex managed to grab the staff. Now both of them were holding the staff. The hooded person kicked Alex in the stomach really hard, and Alex let go of the staff, and fell on his knees. The staff was swung again, and Alex fell on the floor. Chris had reached the pedestal. He stood up, and grabbed the bracelet. It was burning hot, but Chris held on to it. The hooded person noticed this quickly. "Don't touch it. You don't know what it can do." they said. Chris looked at his two friends, that were both lying on the ground. The captain seemed to be fainted, but Alex was looking at Chris and breathing slowly. "Get the hell out of my way." Chris said and put the bracelet around his wrist. The bracelet started glowing bright, lighting up the entire room. It was burning hot, and it was very painful to hold it, but Chris did not give up. "NO! STOP IT!" the hooded person said. "Your friends aren't dead!". "Why are you trying to kill us? What do you need the bracelet for?" Chris asked. "PUT IT DOWN!". "Answer me!". "PUT IT DOWN AND YOU'LL GET YOUR ANSWERS!". Chris took off the bracelet, and the light started to fade out. He still kept a tight hold on the bracelet. "Heal them. Now." Chris said. The hooded person went down on their knees next to Alex. Alex's heartbeat started to rise, but he did not resist. The hooded person put their hand on top of Alex's forehead. Chris could see their arm. It was surprisingly slim. "Your friend will be fine." they said. "How about the other one?" Chris said. The person walked towards the captain, and did the same to him. "He is fainted." "Will he be okay?" Chris asked. "I think so." they said, and took a cold bag from their pocket. They put the bag on top of the captain's forehead. "What the-" the captain woke up instantly, and stood up. The captain was pale, and it seemed that he was about to faint again. Alex walked up to him and held him so he wouldn't fall. "Seems to be fine." the hooded person said. "I asked you questions. Answer me. Why did you attack us? Why do you want the bracelet? Who the hell are you?" Chris asked. "I thought you were soldiers of Evilor." they said. "What? Do we look like soldiers to you?" Alex said angrily. "You don't. But I have been informed that three of Evilor's soldiers were sent to get the bracelet tonight. You could've been soldiers in disguise." they explained. "Why do you want the bracelet?" Chris continued. "I want to get rid of Evilor. He has ruined my life, and many others' lives as well. I want to be the one to put an end for his dominion." they said. "And how can we trust you? How can we know that you aren't working for Evilor and just lying to us?" Alex blamed. "Either you trust me, or I'm going to stuff this staff down your throat!" the hooded person said. "Relax! No need to fight. Alex, the only way for us to defeat Evilor is to trust. We have no choice here." Chris said. "You are going after Evilor as well?" the hooded person said. "Obviously." Alex commented. "Can I kick his ass?" the hooded person asked from Chris. "I would be happy if you didn't." Chris answered. "One more question left. Who are you?" Chris asked. "And why is that important?". "I thought that we could need some help from you.". "What?!" Alex yelled. "Alex, quiet.". "He tried to kill all of us! And now you're inviting that psycho in our team?!" Alex continued to yell at Chris. "Who are you calling a psycho?" the hooded person said. "QUIET!" Chris yelled as loud as he could. "Think about it." Chris said to the hooded person. They remained silent for a while.  The hooded person took a deep breath, and grabbed their hood. "By the way, my name is-" they could not finish the sentence, nor could they finish pulling down their hood.

They heard a loud bang. A bullet flew next to Chris' face. The hooded person had got their staff in their hands in just mere seconds. There were three soldiers in the doorway. All three of them were armed, and had rifles in their hands. "Give that bracelet to me!" one of the soldiers yelled. "Give it to us, or we will kill all of you!". "You wish." the hooded person said and started walking towards the soldiers. "Stop right there!" one of the soldiers yelled. The hooded person did not stop. The soldiers opened fire. The hooded person swung their staff around. They moved like a dancer. They were extremely skilled in avoiding the bullets. Occasionally, the person blocked a few bullets with their staff. "What the hell?" a soldier asked just before the hooded person swung their staff into the soldier's face. The soldier was staggered for a while, but he got hit by the knee of the hooded person, and fell down. Right after that, the person turned around, and hit the second soldier on the eye with their staff. The soldier screamed in pain, while the person hit his stomach with their staff. The last remaining soldier decided to throw his weapon away, and fight the hooded person with fists. He tried to hit them on the shoulder, but they were quicker, and blocked the strike. Then they jumped over the last soldier, took a hard hold around his neck with their staff, and pulled hard until the soldier fell on floor, lifelessly. Chris, Alex and the captain just stared with their mouths open. "What just happened?" Alex asked. "I dealt with the Evilor's soldiers. They were much weaker than I was expecting." the person said. "That was impressive. Welcome to the team." Chris said. Alex was not complaining anymore. "Oh, where did I leave off?" the person said. They removed their visor, and revealed a pair of light blue eyes. Then they grabbed the hood again, and pulled it down. She was a young woman with a long brown hair. "My name is Alice Spencer. Nice to meet you."
