Chapter 2 💥

Y/N Pov:

The torture didn't stop and Eri still didn't know how to control her quirk. Which meant that I never got healed. Thankfully, they stopped taking Eri and I was getting a little more food now.

"Can you try one more time?"

Eri closed her eyes in concentration, but once again, nothing happened.

"It's okay, Eri. You should go to bed anyway."

Eri climbed onto her bed and I tucked her under the blanket.

"Goodnight, Y/N."

"Goodnight, Eri."

I sat down on the floor and started planning. We had to get out of here.

Eri's breathing slowed down as she fell asleep, and I stood up and paced the floors. How could we escape from here? Or more importantly, how could she escape?

After about an hour of thinking, I had come up with a very risky plan. I walked over to the bed and lay down beside Eri. She snuggled into my side as I tried to fall asleep. Eventually, my eyes closed and I started to dream.

I raced around the kitchen, quiet giggles the only sound that I made. I climbed onto a chair and reached onto the table. I grabbed my dad's favorite pair of yellow goggles and slid them over my head. They were way too big for me and they fell right to my shoulders. I pulled them up to my eyes and laughed. How could Daddy see out of these?

I hopped down from the chair and ran into the living room. Daddy was asleep on the couch and I shook him awake.

"Look, Daddy! I'm you!"

He groggily sat up and I struck a pose like a hero. Daddy smiled at me and I stopped holding the goggles up, which caused them to fall again.

"They're a little big for now, but maybe when you're older we can get you a pair if you want to be a hero like me."

A huge smile spread across my face and I jumped onto the couch and hugged him.

"I can't wait, Daddy!"

I woke up and felt sad. I was supposed to be a hero like my dad. I passed the UA entrance exam with flying colors, but I had been kidnapped. As of right now, that future is gone. 

That's it.

We'll escape today.

I shook Eri awake and she slowly sat up.

"What is it?"

"We're going to escape today. When they come for me, I'll deal with the guard and you'll run. Okay?"

"But what about you, Y/N?"

"I'll follow you."

"Okay!"

I climbed out of the bed and grabbed the lamp from the dresser. I'd have to knock out the guard if I wanted any chance to escape.

Eri got out of bed and came to my side.

"What do I do when I escape?"

"Find a hero, and they'll take care of you."

"Okay. I can do that!"

"I know that you can."

I heard footsteps in the hallway and my grip on the lamp tightened. I grabbed Eri's hand and moved her to a spot near the door.

"Be ready to run."

The door locked from the outside, and as soon as I heard the click, I swung the door toward the guard. The guard stumbled and Eri started to run down the hallway. I kicked the guard in the back of his knees with as much force as I could before I slammed the lamp down onto his head. I put all of the strength I had left into that hit, and thankfully, his body went slack and crumpled to the floor.
