Y/N:

I woke up in Edmund's old bed, tears rimming my eyes from last night. I rubbed my eyes, looking back at the Polaroids I placed above his bed.

Suddenly, Mrs. Macready burst into the room, causing me to whip my head around in alarm. Instinctively, I reached for the dagger on my nightstand. My eyes followed my arm when I realized the dagger wasn't under my hand.

I sighed at my instincts, "Y/N! Why in the world are you in here?" She yelled, and I tiredly met her angry eyes. She sighed, "Never mind that you ought to be ready soon," I tilted my head in confusion at her words before I remembered.

She left the room, and my sad eyes suddenly filled with happiness.

I practically jumped out of bed and ran across the hall to my room, very excited because the Professor deemed it safe for me to go to town to go grocery shopping by myself. I've never been to the city by myself before.

I always went with Mrs. Macready to shop around and see the quaint little city. It was very welcoming, although often, I drifted off to the bookstore.

I quickly got dressed, humming softly as warmth filled up the room.

I have been waiting to hear from the Pevensies since they left for the school year. I miss them very much, especially Edmund. Although I wasn't used to him looking childish, or any other them for that matter, he was still my best friend when we returned to the real world. He was much nicer, too.

Edmund always told me he could still see my power working in the real world, but I always denied it. He said that my singing warms up the room.

I brushed my hair as I watched bits of sun peek through the window. I looked around the room before my eyes landed on a sketch I drew of my crown. I sighed and hummed the song I sang at the coronation.

As I finished the song, I noticed the paper had caught aflame. I gasped and frantically blew on it, blowing it out. I looked behind me out my window, seeing the glass reflect the sun onto my paper. I rolled my eyes and ran out of my room.

When I passed the Pevensies' room, I quickly ran in there and grabbed a copy of a Polaroid of Edmund and me, "I'll take you with me, Ed," I said, tears threatening to pool in my eyes.

I gulped back my tears and poked my head into my great-uncle's office. I said my goodbyes to the Professor and trotted downstairs. I hopped in Mrs. Macready's car, and she drove me to the train station, complaining about how busy she was. I was too happy to be annoyed.

When she finally dropped me off, I was overjoyed. It made me feel the most independent I'd felt in a while since I returned from Narnia.

My smile faded as I remembered Narnia. I moseyed into the train station, watching the few people that scattered throughout the station. I smiled as I imagined a couple as two beavers, a man as a faun, and a very tall man as a minotaur.

Thinking about it made me sad and happy but it also gave me peace.

I sighed as I hopped on the train, shuffling my way to a seat. I continued my trek of imagining the people on the train as kind Narnians, trying to hold back my giggles as I looked out the window.

Finally, I arrived at the Strand Tube Station. I stepped out of the train, racking my brain for where Macready and I usually go first.

Sudden yelling interrupted my thoughts, and it immediately caught my attention.

I briefly observed the scene, walking over to a big circle of students surrounding a fight. I couldn't see the boys fighting before a couple of officers burst through the opposite side of the crowd, blowing their whistles. Everyone's yelling stopped as the officers broke up the fight.
