Chapter 11 Do I go back down or keep on going

"What the hell. We come all the way up here and I have a choice to go back down!" Yells Kane
He walks back and forward making a track in the ground. He slaps his forehead and sits under a tree. He sighs and digs his head into his knees. Rebecca walks over to him and puts her arm over his shoulder. "It's okay my Dad died when I was still a baby from a troll," said Rebecca
"And how is that meant to make me mumbling.
"Oh," Said Rebecca
She got up and shook her head at Rick. Rick got up and picked up the two halfs of the deers skull. "Why was it after us?" Rick said to himself
They heard a roar from the top and then saw fire come out of a cave. "So Kane do you want to keep going or see your mum?" Asked Rick
Kane was silent and then in between his knees you could see tears dropping on the ground. Rick walked over and sat next to Kane. As he sat down dust flew up and Kane coughed. "Hey it's okay," Said Rick nugding him.
Kane nugded back but harder. Then it turned into a nugding game. Kane laughed and then Rick smiled at him to say it was okay. "So what are you going to do?" Asked Rebecca
"Well if I go down now she will think I'm a coward for not finshing dads quest. But if I keep on going and then I meet my Mum she will be proud of me," Said Kane
He got up and wiped away tears. You could see that there was a puddle from where he was crying. Rebecca pionted at the puddle and Kane looked back. He kicked it away and then he heard a bird up the tree. He looked up and it was a liitle bird but it was a skeleton of a bird. The bird swooped down and started pecking Kanes head. He tried to shoo it away but it kept on pecking his head. Rick picked up a stick and hit the bird. The bird squwaked and then fell on the ground all scattered. The bones started to rattle and then they joined back together. Kane brought out his sword and swung it at the bird. He missed and the bird pecked his eye. He fell to the ground holding his eye. He dropped the sword and Rebecca picked it up. It was to heavy for her and she put it above her head and then she started to fall backwards. Rick took over the sword and then slashed the bird in half. It fell to the ground with some bones stil twitching. "Kane," said Rick
He ran over to him and looked at the eye. It was bright blue and a hole where the bird peck it. Rebecca ran over and saw the eye. She gasped and then Kane ran over to a little puddle. He saw his eye and gasped. "Am I blind?" Said Kane
