AKAASHIS BIRTHDAY SPECIAL

"happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear keiji~ happy birthday to you!" i sang as i watched him blow out the candles on his cake.

"now i did make this myself so if it tastes like garbage i take full responsibility." i warned knowing my baking skills aren't the best thing ever.

as he took a bite out of the cake, which had been decorated nicely with cream and icing, his lips curled into a large smile.
"i love it, thank you" he said, leaning in for a small kiss.
his lips tasted like sugar.

"you're welcome" i whispered grabbing his hand and leading him to my living room.

"okay, here you go."

i had handed him a piece of paper which said, 'I have lega but cannot walk. i have a back but i cannot lie down. what am i?'

with a confused look on his face he repeated the question only to realise the obvious answer.
"oh a chair."

i nodded and pointed to the chair that had been purposefully placed next to the sofa.

he had walked over to the chair and felt around it. then, he had felt the paper against his hands. pulling the paper from the chair, he read it silently as he walked over to the stairs. climbing the stairs, he walked over to my room and opened the door to be greeted by balloons hanging on the ceiling.

"which balloon has the next clue?" i whispered into his ear, exactly knowing which balloon he would have to choose. he rummaged through the balloons checking each one. finally, he can some across the correct balloon which had a drawing of a cat.

he looked at me confused, "i swear nothing in your house is cat related."

i turned to face him, "maybe it isn't an object."
i slightly smirked knowing he would eventually figure it out.

"nekoma?"

i nodded motioning for him to check his phone.

"oh wow you just got a text keiji!!" i exclaimed, relieved kuroo didn't forget to actually do this.

akaashi had opened the text and started to read it carefully.

"so keiji, what did kuroo say?"

"he said to go to where we first met. so our school."

i nodded, getting our coats from the hanger.
"off we go!"

fukurodani wasn't a long way away - it was luckily only a five minute walk. we had walked while the frosty air made our cheeks turn a bright red.

once we had reached school konoha came into sight.

"hello birthday boy, i need you to do hold hands with your significant other and i while we go on a slight adventure. now be careful the floor is a bit slippery!"

holding hands, konoha had began to pull us with him as we passed the naked trees and brightly lit apartment windows. this was sure easy for akaashi and konoha however since i am no athlete.

we were all running down the streets following konoha's lead. finally, he came to a stop making me slightly tumble. we had stopped opposite a familiar person'a house. yes indeed, it was bokuto's.

"follow me birthday boy!" konoha lead the way once more through the front door.

everything was pitch black, only the sound of moving papers of decorations. promptly, the lights had switched on so we could see who was here. the whole fukruodani volleyball club including some other close friends, were huddled up in the centre of the room.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!" they shouted, popping the party poppers as the confetti fell to the ground.

"oh wow thanks you!" he said turning to me and saying, "did you do this?"
"possibly" i answered giving him a slight kiss on the forehead.

as the night progressed, bokuto and kuroo had surprisingly not broken anything. luckly, the party was a success and akaashi had one of his best birthdays.
