It's 2020 ....January 2020, BTS released "BLACK SWAN" along with a choreography art film performed by MN DANCE COMPANY as the first single from their fourth album, Korean , MAP OF THE SOUL 7. It sold out 4.02 million of copies breaking their own previous records of 2.68 million held by MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA. Later in the same month, They performed at 62nd Annual Grammy Awards along with Lil Nas X, Billy Ray Cyrus, Diplo & Nas. They made the first Korean Act to perform at the Grammy's.
MAP OF THE SOUL:7 released on February 21. This album was supported by the lead single "ON" featuring Australian singer SIA .
According to GAON CHART MAP OF THE SOUL :7 sold over 4.1 million copies just nine days. And again breaking their previous records of the album MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSON to become the best selling album in South Korean history and Became first album to be certified Quadruple Million.
The album debuted at the top of U.S BILLBOARD 200 and made BTS the fastest group to earn 4 number one albums since the Beatles in 1968. Huge achievements......they were not expecting this .....................................................
The lead single "ON" debuted at no. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. In support of their album, they were all set to embark on their fourth worldwide concert tour and second stadium tour, MAP OF THE SOUL tour beginning in April.
Due to Covid 19 pandemic the initial Seoul dates were cancelled and their rest of the tours were also cancelled.
In the month of April they became the first South Korean artist to sell more than 20 Million albums and created history.
In the same month they held two -day online streaming concert titled BANG BANG CON LIVE where the group shared footage of past concerts on their YouTube Channel. The virtual concert was a commercial success.
On June 7, BTS headlined YouTube's dear class of 2020 online graduation event performing "BOY WITH LUV", "SPRING DAY" and " MIKROKOSMOS". Their commencement speeches highlighted their own graduations and offered a message of hope and inspiration for the class of 2020 in both Korean and English.
On June 14, They held a 100 minute long online live concert BANG BANG CON : LIVE, as the part of their 7th anniversary.
The concert was the first collaborative effort between the BIG HIT and KISWE, a live streaming solution company in the U.S . They set up the record for the largest audience for a paid virtual concert.
On June 19 they released their Japanese single "STAY GOLD" from the album MAP OF THE SOUL : THE JOURNEY, which was released in Japan and surpassed 564,000 copies in it's first week breaking 10 years record.
On August 21, BTS released their first English language single "DYNAMITE" which was debuted at number one on the US BILLBOARD HOT 100 CHART becoming the fastest selling single.
On 31st August they made their MTV Video Music Awards debuted with the first live performance of DYNAMITE and won four awards " BEST GROUP, BEST CHOREOGRAPHY, BEST POP VIDEO, BEST K-POP."
October 14th, they performed the single at the 2020 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS and won the Top social artist award, becoming their fourth consecutive year of winning the award.
On 2nd October....of-course on my Birthday......they released a remix of "SAVAGE LOVE" which topped the BILLBOARD 100 CHART marking group's second number one entry in the U.S TOP BILLBOARD'S recently created global singles chart.
On October 10th and 11th they hosted twp days virtual pay-per view concert at KPSO DOME in Seoul Called MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E which again broke record for most viewers for a paid virtual concert live stream.
They re-release their album SKOOL LUV AFFAIR in October.
On November 20th BE album was released which is a Fifth Korean Studio with lead single "LIFE GOES ON". On 24th November BTS became the first Korean pop artitr "BEST POP DUO/GROUP" Performance at the 63rd ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS.
On November 30th 2020"LIFE GOES ON" debuted at number one on the BILLBOARD HOT 100 CHART.
This was the journey that I traveled with them these were all the things related to their success, their hard work, their achievements which I came to know and cherished ,
Few moments that came in my life when I regretted to not be in this fandom but now things are changed ....there is no regrets ..now I have no regrets ...I'm happy that I came to know these people.
