Tubbo opened his eyes, waking up in a sweat. His body trembling, his pupils dilating violently. He rubs his head, making sure he's alright. He tried to calm down as he looked around. As the pounding of his heart slowed, he soon frowned in bewilderment.

He seemed to be in an alleyway. Amid the midnight's gloom engulfing the walls, beyond were distant warm lights.

'Where am I?' he thought to himself.

Where was he? The last time he recalled, he was climbing up a tall tree to retrieve back his kite, which was whirled away by the heavy cold breeze and got stuck there. His best friend was there with him, yelling at him for getting the kite stuck.

And then...

Suddenly, slight footsteps could be heard by Tubbo. Someone was approaching. As the footsteps grew louder and louder, a silhouette of a figure could be seen. It was a shadow of a man, or was it? As it came closer and closer, the mysterious figure revealed himself.

It was a tall young man with dirty blonde hair wearing a long green cloak, a smiley mask, and a weird-looking amulet around him. The stranger then glanced at Tubbo, who was still on the ground.

"Shh... Don't be afraid, young boy. Here, let me help you up," the stranger then offered a hand to him.

Tubbo, a bit hesitant, lightly smiled back and gave his hand to the stranger.

All of a sudden, the stranger snatched his arm quite violently and Tubbo was suddenly wrapped up in something black. He couldn't move his arms and it was suffocating him. The stranger raised his hand towards Tubbo's chest.

"I'm sorry young boy, but I need your soul, we just need one more."

The stranger's hand then phased through his chest and without thinking, Tubbo kicked the stranger in the crotch, letting him free from something black wrapped around him and the stranger letting out a monstrous shriek.

As the stranger yelled, Tubbo had a chance to flee from the stranger. As he ran, the stranger then transformed into a storm of black smoke, his cloak, mask, and amulet still present. It then began to swiftly chase after Tubbo, not showing him any mercy.

Tubbo ran and ran, trying to get away from this nightmare. As he approached the end of the alleyway, nearing the warm lights, he found himself on the road of a town filled with peculiar people. Some looked human while the rest didn't. The buildings seemed to be mostly made of wood, around it was ghostly white blossoms and warm orange lanterns.

The townspeople only made Tubbo more frightened and run even faster. He wailed a pitiful cry as he ran past the odd-looking civilians, almost bumping into them. He was just running from everyone, he was running from everything. He looked back and saw the black mist chasing after him. He was running out of breath with every step he took and the nightmare got closer and closer, but he wasn't gonna give up yet.

Soon enough, he reached an enormous bridge that linked the other side of the cliffs, beneath it was a river that was quite far down, you couldn't hear sounds of water splashing coming from that below.

He had almost reached the end of the bridge when a horned man with embers of fire around him appeared in front, blocking the path. He wore a pale white yukata and bandana and had inky black hair with eyes matching his embers. He was fuming which startled the young boy. He tried to turn the other way around but was met with the smoke demon.
