As I'm nearing the end of my childhood, I decided to start up a project that had been living in the corner of my mind for a while now. It started out as a time where I could just relax, but after I sat down I realized just how many thoughts were clouding my mind. Every time I tried to just clear my mind, new worries and questions began to pop up. That's when I realized that relaxing is harder than it seems. I decided that in order to clear my mind, I'd have to clear away these thoughts that keep demanding attention, and so I did. I started with the easy thoughts that we're happy and moved towards my fears. Every time I figured out where my thoughts were stemming from, I wrote it down in one of my journals. I used these notes to create little quotes and poems. After finally figuring out why I was having these thoughts, I didn't just want to forget about them, but I also didn't want to keep obsessing over them, so I came up with the Jar. After I write down the little quotes and poems, I'll leave them in a Jar so that I can go back and look at them when I want to, without the worry of forgetting them.

The Jar Project is just my way of keeping my thoughts in order so I don't get consumed by them. It helps me to focus on what I need to focus on, and let go of my worries. Please don't be afraid to take my idea and use it to start your own Jar Project, I created it to help myself and if it helps other people that's great.

Thanks for taking this journey with me, and by the time this is over, I hope to have made you think a little bit harder.
