I might have overreacted just a little bit.

It was in-fact the cat.

When we looked for our apartment she specifically looked for one that would allow pets. And when we found one,her cat, clove, was the first to be let into the place.

" If he approves of it, I approve of it." She said as he looked up at her, clearly unimpressed.

Now I'm stuck with him.

Clove sat on the cheap wood kitchen counter and stared at me with nothing but distaste. I never took it personally. He tends to snarl at new people, apparently I was one of the few people he tolerated. According to Lyd in anyway. He did his usual routine:
stared me bleakly , then wiped his tail all over my face while he stroked past me and finally goes to sit down next to his food bowl.

The bowl which was now apparently empty.

I gave him a quick pat on the head, a gesture which he dis not appreciate, and reached into the cabinet under the sink to retrieve his food.
The kibble pattered as it fell into the metal food bowl with his name engraved on it.
He simply sat there looking at me with narrowed eyes.
And then, as-if it was all a cruel game to him, jumped off the counter, making his usual meow as he did so.
His tail swished from left to right as he strutted out of the room. Looking back only once.

That bastard.

He was always a cheeky little bugger.

I was never his favorite. That spot was reserved for Lyd, and only Lyd. He was quite fond of curling up on her pillow. This lead to him doing the same on MY bed. Needless to say he tends to take up a lot more space than a little cat should.
He's a little asshole.
I never understood why she loved that thing as much as she did but I guess that thing is mine now.

That thing is mine now.

Almost all her things are mine now.

Clove made another meowing sound, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I ignored him.

But then he did it again.

I ignored him... again.

He must've had enough of it and came into the kitchen to meow at me more aggressively.

Which he did.

" what do you want?" I demanded impatiently.

He simply raised his royal arse and walked out of the room once more.

I followed him.

He probably killed a rat or a bird or something.

Nasty little bugger.

He would probably be very proud of it too.

But it wasn't a rat...

Nor was it a bird.
