Cold sweat dripped down your forehead as you panted for breath because of running as fast as possible to your destination. Your eyes were only on that door, the door that would determine what your next fate would be.
You finally arrived at the door, pausing for a moment to catch your breath. You closed your eyes, holding back the dizziness you'd been holding back since this morning. Mentally prepared, you knocked on the door and slowly opened it.
"Excuse me Ma'am, I apologise for my lateness."
The woman, or precisely, the teacher, stared at you with an annoyed look. Not only the teacher, all the students were looking at you. They were not wrong, you who came 15 minutes late during the class, of course, attracted the attention of the whole class.
"Y/n, you know that I don't like students who are late for my class. I will deduct 5 points from you!"
You lowered your head to apologise, then quickly walked to your seat. You massaged your forehead slowly, annoyed with yourself for recklessly coming home from the course during a heavy rain last night. In the end, you caught a fever today and it made you come late.
"Okay, now we will discuss the homework that you all have done. Get your homework out!"
You opened your bag, flipping book after book to find the homework you did last night. The more you searched, the more you realised that you couldn't find the book. Your heart sank and you started to panic. Your heart started to beat uncontrollably and cold sweat ran down your forehead again.
I think I put it in my bag this morning, why isn't it there now? You thought in confusion. Did you forget to put it inside your bag? Was it because of the fever so you forgot it?
"If you didn't do your homework, please leave my class and I will deduct ten points from you."
Your teacher's voice, of course, made you even more panicked. You'd already lost five points today, how about adding ten more? No, you didn't want to get bad grades in this subject. But there was nothing you could do, you must be prepared to be punished.
You closed your eyes, ready to stand up and admit it. But suddenly a hand grabbed your shoulder gently. You didn't have time to look back to find out who's holding you, but then the same hand put a homework book on your desk.
No, it's not your book. The name written on the book was,
Hwang Hyunjin.
Hyunjin? Wait, you thought you read wrong-
"I didn't do my homework, Ma'am."
You immediately turned your head towards the voice. You widen your eyes, of course you were surprised by what you see. Hyunjin, the school heartthrob, who was sitting on your left, stood up with a confident expression.
Did he just put his own book on your desk?
"Hwang Hyunjin, get out of my room immediately! I'll deduct ten points from you."
Your eyes couldn't stop staring at Hyunjin who walked out of class. As he began to disappear from your sight, you lowered your head. Of course you felt guilty. This was completely your fault, why would he sacrifice himself for you?
You couldn't concentrate during class. Apart from your head still throbbing and the fever started to come back to you, you still thought about Hyunjin. You flipped through his book, smiling slightly because you could see the handsome student's handwriting that all the girls in school wanted the most.
