"He almost exposed himself to the humans, masters," The guard spoke in a hurry, bringing the criminal to his knees as he only smirked arrogantly.
So much for a solemn ceremony.

Volturi's members had left so only the kings, Luca, the guard holding the criminal down and the criminal himself were in the room. Other guards had escorted Didyme and Athenodora to their chambers, seeing that their mates were already worried enough about the situation, they didn't want their mates exposed to a dangerous vampire.
"Care to explain why you have stopped us during such an important moment?" Caius spat, his fingers wrapped around his thrones' arms tightly. The three kings had taken their rightful place as Luca stand beside his father, his hands clutching together behind his back.
The vampire who almost exposed himself to the humans had short blond hair and as Luca analysed him more, he noticed a strange aura around him. The man's entire body was glowing as a dark steam was twirling around him, more especially around his head. A light headache peaked through Luca's mind, something he hadn't feel for quite some time. Since he was human, actually, the last amount of pain was his transition. But all the sudden, it disappeared, just like the aura.
"Father, something strange is happening to me," The young prince whispered so only Marcus could hear, bending down slightly to be near his father's ear. The king turned his head to look at his son and seeing how he was clutching at his head, he turned to his soul brother.
In front of the criminal, Aro was getting agitated at the fact that he couldn't hear the man's thoughts.
"Aro," He talked normally, motioning to his son. Speeding besides the guard, the mind reader king grabbed his hands and his eyes widened as he observed the phenomenon.
"Mmh, seems like our dear Luca is gifted, after all," The dark-haired king giggled before he turned his attention back to the criminal. A guard quickly escorted Luca out of the room, the young prince slightly confused. The older vampire brought him to the huge library, where the queens were chatting.
"Tesoro? [Treasure] What happened?" Didyme speeded to her son, brushing his dark locks behind his ears.
"Aro said I'm gifted," He shrugged, sitting besides Athenodora, who smiled brightly at him.
"That's great, my dear, what can you do?" The blonde queen asked eagerly, taking Luca's hand in her own, Didyme doing the same on the other side.
"I'm not quite sure..." Luca was about to continue when the doors opened, the three kings coming in like one man.
"You have such a useful and precious talent, young one," Aro clapped his hands like a child and proceeded to explain what it was. Luca could see and manipulate mental or physical shields. He could remove them or reenforce them at his will. The criminal had both, which provoke the headache Luca felt as the shields were powerful.
Aro was quite happy to have Luca among his rank. Of course, he had a deep affection for the young man, but with him having a gift was even more precious.
Didyme was eyeing her brother warily. With her own gift, she felt everyone's happiness for Luca, as they now knew a little more about him. But what Aro was feeling was beyond ecstasy. The queen was getting worried, she knew how her brother could get when he gained more power. She could only hope her son wouldn't became Aro's new weapon.
