The Betrayal

Hope's Pov

Jo and I were currently sleeping or at least we would be If Jo wasn't staring at me while I pretended to sleep. "You know luv it's rather rude to stare." I said. "I know." Jo said. "What's wrong Jo?" I asked my girlfriend sitting up. "Nothing I was just thinking about the future and our child." Jo said. I laid my head on her stomach lightly listening to the steady heartbeat of our son or daughter. "What's wrong with you?" Jo asked me probably sensing my tension. "Well I was thinking." I said. "About what hope?" She asked again. "Us or rather you nothing bad it's just that you're always here not that, that's a bad thing. I was just thinking that it's really nice to have someone to sleep with every night especially since you're carrying my child. So, I was thinking that maybe you'd like to well I mean if you want." I said nervously pulling a book from under my pillow.

"What are you saying hope?" Jo asked confused. I opened the book and pulled out the key. "I know that were still young and figuring things out but I was wondering if you'd want to move in with me." I said handing her a key. "Hope I'd love too but what's with the key the rooms here don't really have keys to them?" Jo asked me. "That key doesn't go to any room here that key is for a mansion in mystic falls one of my family's it was one my father built for our family but well life happened. I want you to have it so that when we go off to college you can move in with me I mean if we decide to go to college. I had the place renovated since it was a bit of a mess. The deed is in our name to  prevent any vampires from just walking in and it is surrounded with both wolfsbane and vervain plants as well as trees. All of the houses doorknobs were infused with a wolfsbane and vervain mixture to keep vamps and wolfs out.

The windows and walls are also infused with wolfsbane and vervain so if they do try to force their way in they will regret it. I also had my aunt Freya and your aunt bonnie put some protection spells up around the house and inside the house for added protection. This house isn't just our home I want you to also think of it as a safe house if you ever feel like something bad might happen and you can't trust anyone go there you will be protected ok. Bonnie, Freya, you and I are the only ones who know about the house." I told Jo. "Wow hope I don't know what to say." Jo said.

"You don't have to say anything I just want you to know that you have a place to go if you need to be alone or to hide or whatever." I said. "Well thanks hope." Jo said smiling. "Here let me see your necklace." I said holding my hand out. Jo took off her necklace and handed it to me the necklace that I gave her on her sixteenth birthday. That seems like a lifetime ago the days before we were together the days before she was pregnant. I smiled thinking about our child as I unhooked the necklace and added the key to it then got behind her and put it back around her neck.

I pulled her hair behind her ear. "You know luv my family's crest looks perfect on you almost like you were meant to wear it." I whispered into her ear softly. "Too bad I'm spending some quality time with my sister today because I would love you to show me how much better it looks on the floor with the rest of my clothes." Jo said with a seductive smirk. "That sure is a shame cause I'd have you screaming in seconds." I said sitting back down on my bed.

Before Jo could say anything else Lizzie walked in to my room which I guess is our room now. "Why leave the door open if you're going to be saying stuff like that especially when you knew I was right here?" Lizzie asked me standing in the doorway. "To show you why barging into people's rooms could be intrusive and wrong." I said. "Fair point." Lizzie said. "Anyways she's all yours." I said as josie walked over to lizzie she looked at me with a smile on her face an actual genuine smile. "Go on luv I'll see you later." I told jo. I was about to head into my bathroom to change when i turned around. "Hey jo you know I love you right." I told her as Lizzie left my room. "Yes of course I mean you remind me daily." Jo said. "Got to make sure you don't forget." I said. "Oh trust me hope I would never forget you." She said I ran over to her and kissed her deeply our kiss was full of passion. "I love you never forget that ok." I said. "I won't." She said. "Ok now go enjoy quality sister time." I said heading to my bathroom to get changed. Once they left I took a shower and got dressed then headed for caroline's office. Deep down I knew what I was about to do was wrong but I also knew it was the only way to protect my family. "I will protect Jo no matter the cost." I said making my way to caroline's office.
