CHAPTER 18

Alice's pov. The door opened and reveiled three shocked humans, their shocked expressions turned to smirks - this can't be good. They stepped in and we gleared, they took another step forward and Ashleyy hissed "that's close enough!" We all paused and then they took another step, we brought our claws out and stood protectively over each other - to let them know that if they touch one of us they start a war.

All of a sudden Cc, Jake and Ashley lunged forward and jumped on the people knocking them all to the ground. We all bolted out of the room and began to run, Jinxx was in front, Andy and I were at the back holding hands. We ran past old dusty rooms to the front door, we are almost there, we are almost there.

Jinxx belts the door open not stopping to open it. We rush out not looking back, not wanting to look back. We run through the trees dodging them from left to right, hearing loud crunching from someone stepping on leaves and twigs. I slowed down slightly turning my head to see if someone is following. Andy yanked my arm hard and said in a stern voice “don’t look back!!” I nodded and it felt weird because we are going so fast that it feels like my head is going to come off.

I could just see the bus through the trees. We kept on going and made our way up to it. Ashley got the keys out and put it in turning it to the left to open it as we all waited anxiously wanting to get in. I think Andy was the most, his arms are shaking, he’s breathing heavily and is just giving this vibe like his could just fall apart in seconds.

Ashley opened the door and Jake sighed and said “we have company” looking over at two figures coming our way. Jinxx just runs up to them he put his arms out straight. Running so quickly that the humans have no time to respond, no to see the black blur, no time to realize what he is doing. With a quick swipe he got them both on the neck making them fall to the ground.

He came back and said “they should wake up in a few hours” I gasp getting everyone’s attention then I ask “how did you do that??” Cc said “we like ninjas” while doing a karate chop in the air. Sammi frowns and said “so are we going to get in the bus or just wait out here to be killed??” Then she couldn’t help but smile.

We filed in and I inhaled the familiar sent of the tour bus that I have grown accustom to - before I found it gross. Jinxx said “everyone hang on, its going to be a rough ride” we nodded sitting down. I snuggled into Andy’s side, Ashley said “so Andy, you looked pretty busted up there” nodding at the scratches on his arms and chest that are showing because his shirt is practically in shreds. Sammi frowned and said “go and change now” while extending her arm and index finger towards the bunks.

He gets up and I realize just how fast Jinxx is driving, I quickly grab onto the side on the edge of the couch. Staring out of the window above the others seeing the trees flash past - if I was still a human then it would have been a plain blur. Andy comes out of the back room and he sits back down next to me again. Jake said with a weak and anxious voice “we need blood….”

Ashley nodded in seconds having three plastic cups out. Sammi got up and got Jakes and gave him his as Ashley handed the other two cups to Andy and I. Sammi said “you three have had your fangs out the entire time.” Andy said trying to hold back his pain “we-we have n-no control.” We raised our cups to our mouths - oh that sent! I tipped the cup upward and let the sweet blood run down my throat. So soothing!

We finished in second and Jake said with hope in his eyes “how much do we have??” Sammi smiled and said “I’ll get you guys some more.” She refilled our cups and gave them to us again. I savored this one more, I let the blood dance on my tongue enjoying the taste before swallowing. Once I finished Sammi looked over and said “have you 3 had enough” we nodded and she put our cups in the sink.

I snuggled into Andy’s arms and noticed he was still shaking. I sat back up and grabbed his hand, he still looks like a ghost starring into the distance with thoughts scattered everywhere. I just want to know what he is thinking…..

Suddenly a loud bang basted at the bus nearly hitting it. We all jumped, Sammi crouched down and went to the front with Jinxx helping him by looking out for silver bullets or their vans. Jake reached over grabbing the map that was on the table and opened it trying to locate where we are with Ashley peering over his shoulder. Jake said “we are about 40 minutes away from the next town, we should be safe there”. Cc yelled out to Jinxx and Sammi “we will be in the next town in 40 minutes, keep driving”.

Ashley leaned over and said “okay once we get into town we need to hide the bus somewhere and go to a hotel, we’ll plan everything else once we get there’. I nodded - my mind a million miles an hour trying to absorb everything that was happening.

The next 40 minutes were horrible, we were speeding through but they did get a close for comfort at times.

We are greeted to the small town with a sign that had a picture of a sunset in the background. Ashley was behind the wheel now and he parked the car in a carking lot in front of a target a few blocks over from a hotel. We got out and power walked to the hotel and went into the large building. We walked over and asked for 2 bedrooms that were connected. The lady behind the desk smiled and got the room keys. Andy bet everyone to paying and handed her his credit card - he still looked so lifeless… I grabbed the keys and we went up the elevator and found our rooms.

They were decent sized, especially with the seven of us. We all filed in and closed the door quickly and went over to the windows and closing them while Cc got the lights. I opened the door to the second room and we did the same. The first room had two queen sized beds, a lounge chair, a small TV, a tall boy, a mini fridge and a microwave. The second room was the same but had one queen size and a big lounge.

We all sat on the floor in a circle to plan what we are going to do.
Ashley started us off “okay what are we going to do? They aren’t going to stop until we are dead!” Jake nodded, “he’s right, we have seen to much, they are going to stop at nothing.” I gulped at his words and Andy placed his arm around me. Andy said with a small voice “call everyone”. Call everyone? Jinxx said “and say what?”
Andy straightened his back “tell everyone what happened and see if we can get as many other bands to come out of this tour, they can’t take us all”. Cc looked shocked “but are we going to be putting them on the line?”

Jinxx said wisely “Andy is on to something, we can have that back up until the tour is over and then we have warped tour”. Ashley nodded with what Jinxx was saying “it’s just crazy enough to work, we will get them to come out with us and with them there we can be a threat.”. We nodded and everyone else got out their phones. I just looked over Andy’s shoulder while he did the calls.

Eventually the calls were made. Everyone put their phones down and we all yawned. Jake said “I think it’s time we get some rest, we’ve had a pretty intense day”. Hell yeah we have. We got up and hugged each other and said our goodnights. Sammi and Jinxx went over to one of the queen sized beds and went in, Jinxx kissed her forehead and they cuddled. Ashley and Jake went over to the other queen and hopped in. Andy, Cc and I went into the second room and left the door that connected the two rooms open. Cc went straight to the lounge with a quilt and pillow and made himself a bed sleepily. He got in bed and snuggled in and said “could one of you two get the lights” then dozed off…. Okay Cc.

I turned them off just being able to see the big bed and Andy’s slim figure standing on the side of it. We got under the covers where it was nice, warm and incredibly soft. We kissed and with a smile I said “Andy I love you”. Andy kissed me again and with his sexy voice said “I love you too Alice” and we fell asleep.
