This is what I imagine Renjun's out of body experience to feel like, not really what it looks like (it was hard to find gifs of astral projection so this is the best thing I could find). Renjun has a time limit of how long he can use his ability before he is forced back into his body, this will be explained more in the upcoming chapters of the story. When he is using his power, he is able to will things into existence, for example, lets say that he needs a camera to take a picture of something, he can think of the camera and it will appear and when he wakes up, he'll have it in his hands. His power is very useful for spying on the enemy.
