Chapter 8 part 1

"Morning everyone! How was everything while I was gone?"

It was Monday morning 8am and I was back at the restaurant after my super eventful weekend with the boys.

I was walking through the kitchen now greeting the staff and catching up on what I've missed while I was away.

"Well not much happened but this house ordered a lot while you were gone and it's an SR" Brandy said to me.

"Oh? Let me see"

I was handed the address and looked at it then immediately chuckled.

"Thanks I'll go thank them right now" I smiled then walked up to my office.

I sat behind my desk and picked up my phone to call the generous customer and thanked them.

"You spent over $900 here on one day alone. Elaborate your reason sir" I said into the phone with a slight smile on my face.

"Damn no hey how are you?" He said into the phone with a happy voice.

"Morning Tyler now explain"

"I was hungry...what the fuck am I supposed to say" he chuckled into the phone.

"I don't know it's just random" I said

"That a customer bought your food?"

"Nah you spent a lot" I said wondering why.

"Yeah we were hungry"

"We? You had guests over?" I asked curiously.

"Yeah nigga Coryn"

My mood immediately changed when he said her name but I couldn't let my irritation show in my voice.

"Ohhhhh forgot about her. So you guys ate all that food alone?" I asked kinda regretting.

"Yeah we bought enough to have leftovers for the next day just in case she slept over"

"Did she sleepover?"

"Hm you're asking a lot of questions for the morning" Tyler said probably sensing my irritation.

"I'm just asking how your weekend went that's all no need to get all upset" I rolled my eyes then sighed.

"Nobody upset here. Anyway enough about my weekend what did you d-"

I interrupted Tyler.

"So you didn't see any of your friends the whole weekend? I mean like OF is breaking up I thought you'd be together more" I said changing it back to him.

"Oh- well yeah I saw my niggas when I went to the Golf store"

"Nice and how's everyone doing?"

"Nika what's going on?" He asked

"Nothing I'm just a curious person"

"I'll trust you on this because we haven't really gotten time to get to know eachother too well" Tyler said

"Yeahhhh anyway I just called to say thank you for buying from here and for leaving such a generous tip"

"Awww no problem! I genuinely love your food but I'd like it better if you made it for me" he said kindly

"One day Tyler, one day my friend" I smiled

"What you smiling for?" He chuckled

"I'm literally not smiling"

"Yes you are I can hear your smile in your voice. I just know your eyes beaming now"

I bit my lip to try and stop smiling but it didn't work.
