Been a while, huh? I forgot that I had this chapter written already. Lately I've been writing a new story, and then going back to some of my old stuff. So chapter four is in the making, but it'll be a while before I upload it.
P.S. I haven't read this in like months, so there are probably several mistakes. Enjoy!

I don’t think I heard him right. Pregnant? As if. I’m a virgin for Christ’s sake! I laughed once without humor. “Look, the joke’s over. I don’t know how you find that funny, because I sure don’t,” I snapped. He sighed, again running a hand through his hair. “Raven, I think maybe you just don’t want to admit right now that you have been sexually active, with your mother in the room. I’m not saying that you are still, right now, but it only takes one time; just one time for you to get pregnant. I—” I cut him off. “I’m going to say this one more time. I. Am. A. Virgin.” I said, enunciating each word. “I have not, nor will I for a while, had sex.” I was starting to get really irritated, and I had to take a few deep breaths to calm myself.
“Raven…” he said slowly. I quietly waited for him to continue. “I’m not going to argue with you. I would like you to take a few tests, just so we can completely rule this out. If you are indeed not pregnant, then we will pursue other ideas. As of now though, I want you to go home and just rest. If you continue to feel this nausea, then I suggest you call me within the next few days,” he paused, as if considering whether or not to continue. “And maybe stop at a drugstore on your way home today. Pick up a pregnancy test for yourself.” And with that, he left.
I turned to my mom, fearfully. “I don’t even want to hear it,” she said. My mouth fell open. Did she really think that about me? Did she really not believe me? All of a sudden I felt an overwhelming sense of sadness. The beginnings of tears began to fall down my cheeks. “Mom, you know I would never do anything like that. You know,” I said, not sure whether I was convincing her or myself. “No, I don’t know. Not anymore,” she whispered. Her words hit me like a slap in the face, maybe worse.
“Mom…” I begged. “Please.” She shook her head. “Just…Just get in the car. We’ll talk about this later. I can’t do this right now.” Abruptly, the sadness was gone. In its place was pure fury. “I cannot believe you would think that,” I raged. “I have done nothing in my entire life to deserve this from you. I have been nothing but an angel. I get good grades, I abide by your rules, I don’t argue. And suddenly, you think I’m some sort of whore?! You actually think this of me?” I couldn’t stop the words from leaving my mouth; the more I said, the more I needed to say. “God, I have standards. Not just yours, but my own as well! You’ve always told me not to do anything until I’m ready, and I haven’t! Why won’t you just believe me? I have never given you reason to believe I would do something like this.” I paused to take a breath, and she took that chance to speak.
“You will stop this right now. You will walk through that door, and you will get into the car,” she said calmly, voice devoid of any and all emotion.
For the first time in my life, I didn’t listen. For the first time, I outright disobeyed my parents. “No.” I felt a weird fluttering in my stomach at finally standing up for myself. “I am a good daughter, and you know it. You should know that I wouldn’t do something like this. And if you don’t, then maybe you’re just a bad mother. First of all, I would never do something like this. Second of all, even if I wanted to, when would I even have the chance?! My weekends are spent either with you at home or at my friends’ houses with their parents! When are you expecting me to whore it up with some guy, getting myself pregnant? Hm? When? Because I sure as hell haven’t had any opportunity, and I haven’t been looking for one. I am a virgin, so therefore I cannot be pregnant.”
