The Peace

Midoriya had a pep in his step as he walked down down the beautifully lit street way. The situation was so twisted that he still was taking his time processing it, but there was a peace in his heart that he didn't feel before.

He opened the door to the home and saw that only the light upstairs was on. It was warm inside and it smelled like jasmine tea with vanilla.

"Uraraka? I'm back!", he called. "I'm sorry I took a while."

He didn't hear anything so he walked up the stairs and went towards his room.

Maybe she's already sleep. Crap, I hope I didn't wake her.

He began to hear a soft cry coming from the room next door. He walked a little slower to avoid wanting to scare her.

His face grimaced and he suddenly felt awful about leaving the girl alone after all the events that happened today. Part of him wanted to barge into the room and give her a hug that told her everything was gonna be okay. Most of him knew that the courage he had to have was slim to none to do something like that. The idea of just letting her be to herself for a while also crossed his mind. Maybe that's what she needed. At least, that's what he did with his other female classmates that were suspiciously emotional around the same time every month.

He went inside his room quietly and saw all his belongings neatly lined on the wall. He tried to pick up some of his things, but dropped his deodorant, which made a small thud.

"H-Hello?", she squeaked.

"Just me.", Midoriya winced touching on the door that divided their rooms. He turned around from the door not wanting to accidentally see something and heard shuffling coming closer to the door.

"Deku! I didn't even here you come in!", she called red in the face and eventually opened her door. "How was your walk?

"My walk was great!", he lied nervously. "I was really enjoying the scenery. I got my mind off...some things...were you...are you alright?"

She blinked up at him with wet lashes and she squinted at him.

"Are you?"

They blinked at each other and blushed slighty.

"Don't be concerned about me.", Deku stammered. "They were...happy tears. What about you?"

She walked towards her window where Midoriya followed. They looked outside and she dusted some of the snow of the window ceil.

"I keep debating on what happened to my friends.", she said quietly. "With the villian."

Though Midoriya already knew, he nodded his head like he was ready to listen. He was ready for this perfect opportunity to tell her.

"That guy told me two different scenarios on the plane. They either wanted to do what they did or they had too. I honestly don't know which one is true. I feel like it should be so obvious that they had to but..."

"Let's just say they were forced to do what they did. I think your friends were very brave if they had too.."

"I suppose...I just wish...they thought about what they were doing. No matter what choice they made, I didn't know anything about it, and we were supposed to be a team. A real villian doesn't show mercy to anyone, you know? What made them think that, that would've worked out in the end? We could've worked something out together, instead of them making that decision for themselves. We trusted each other, we could've done something without that sacrifice. That's why I can't look at this situation with a straight answer. Maybe they knew something I didn't?", she asked looking at him. "How could they make a decision like that so fast? Without me?"
