Perrie's POV
"Blimey Hermione!" Harry Potter exclaimed as Hermione plucked a couple of hairs from his head. I was watching Harry Potter and the Deathly hallows, part one. Jade fell asleep earlier when I was watching friends. She told me to wake her up soon, but she looked so peaceful in her sleep. The past week had been hectic, neither of us had left the studio sooner than maybe 1 in the morning; collapsing into whichever bed or couch we found closest and called it a night. Leigh and Jesy had ended up sleeping at Jade and I's flat whilst the Geordie would wind up at their loft, but last night had been an exception. She had apologized sounding half drunk as she collapsed onto the couch from exhaustion, her leftover ramen forgotten on the coffee table without a second glance. Leigh had thrown a blanket over her before heading off to my bedroom with Jesy, kissing my forehead sleepily and muttering a 'goodnight' before disappearing.I decided I'd let her rest, she had a rather long week. I'd been sitting here in front of the Telly for the past few minutes-maybe hours, almost ripping my hair out to keep myself from asking her what could only be uncomfortable questions at this point. About her and Jesy, about Leigh, about us. About little mix, about Tulisa, everyone.
The doctor had warned me in regards to doing this actually, which I didn't understand because I hadn't gotten many memories back yet. But the more they came back, I started to understand why I needed to wait.
"Miss Edwards, I have a couple of things for you before you leave." Dr. Greene was flipping through his notes slowly, I was bored out of my mind already. "Yes?" I sighed inwardly. "Your memory. In case you do get any memory jogs before your next check up, I need you to wait. To not ask anyone about anything you find peculiar, or odd." He met my gaze. "W-why not? I need to tell my friends." I was confused, how was I supposed to trust and connect with the girls? "You need to wait for the right time. What happened to the four of you was not something to be lightly poked at." He set down the notepad and pen. "When will I even know that it's the right time?" I huffed as he proceeded to check my vitals. It was silent for a minute before he mentioned the clear, gathering everything once more to leave. He walked over to me and clapped his hand gently on my shoulder. "It will come to you on it's own, you'll know." He walked out of the room without another word.
The Telly flickered off suddenly, distracting me once more. "H-hello?" No one answered, but then the crackle of lighting outside helped to acknowledge the forming storm. The whole flat shut down after that, the lights completely out. Jade shifted in her sleep, a frown formed on her face, almost as if she could sense what was happening.
Slowly and carefully I slipped off the sofa, propping the Geordie against a pillow, going towards the window. Maybe a lighting bolt had struck our power line. As I looked outside, sure enough, the cord was flailing in the windy air outside, rain pelted down against the ground. I grimaced, knowing that tonight was going to be a tough night. I was never someone who enjoyed thunder storms, or anything that came close to sounding like a...well, a gun shot for the matter. The houses next to us were also completely out, with no light whatsoever. I slowly pulled the curtains shut before starting to make my way back to Jade. A rumble of thunder made me stand on edge, the bullet wound tingles uneasily.
"Perrie?"
I nearly jumped out of my skin the moment her voice pierced the silent flat. "Bloody hell Jade, you scared me." I whisper, rubbing my wound anxiously. "There's a storm." She remarks silently. "Mhmm." I hum, deciding to stay silent. "Let's go to bed? I'm not too keen on these storms." Jade suggested, stretching momentarily. "Okay, but-uh-the power, it's gone out." I point to the lights and the Telly. She nods, gesturing for me to follow. I felt blush rising in my cheeks at the fact that I was uneasy in the storm. "I know you're anxious. Just relax, clear your mind. Here, sometimes this...it helps." She didn't pay me any mind in regards to the redness of my cheeks. I tried to do as she said, closing my eyes when she took my hand and pressed it to her chest. I swallowed as I noticed how her heartbeat was the first thing I focused on, it drowned out the thunder and the lightning. I felt myself relaxing with the steadiness of the heartbeat, leaning slightly against her shoulder it was oddly comfortable being close to her like this.
