Albedo often gets lost in his experiments, continuing them for hours at a time. You're used to this and are honestly just happy with sitting there watching him work. You also know that sometimes his hair will fall into his vision, causing him to get distracted. Recently, you've started a new routine when this happens. As soon as you notice the blonde locks start to come loose from his braids, you come over to him to redo them. He greatly appreciated the help.

You sat in the small yet cozy cave, watching Albedo move his hands gracefully across his workplace. He was deep in thought as he tried to answer yet another one of his curious questions. You admired the hard work he put into his experiments.

After staring for awhile, you noticed a few strands of his hair fall in front of his face, getting in his way. You stood up and walked over to his side. You undid the messy braids and ponytail, careful not disturb him too much. After undoing the entire thing, you started to re-braid his silky hair. After finishing both sides, you pulled them back into a small ponytail. You made it tight enough to stay, but not so tight that it'll hurt him. You were practically an expert at it at this point. Satisfied with the results you headed back to your spot to sit down. But before you could, you felt a gentle hand on your arm.

"Hey, why not sit next to me? I can teach you a few things if you'd like." His voice was soft and caring, just like him.

"I think I'll take you up on that offer." You placed your chair next to his and sat down. Your arms brushed together, you could feel his warmth, even on the cold mountain.

"Thank you, really. I appreciate it, darling." The blush crept up on both of your cheeks. He placed a light kiss on your forehead. You could feel him smiling against your skin.

He attempted to teach you and you attempted to learn. It was a nice excuse to be so close to him. He occasionally complimented your hard work and willingness to learn. The space you shared with him was comforting. It made you happy that he only did this kind of thing with you since he didn't really care for other people usually. Most of the time, he preferred to be alone. But you were different. Just your presence made him smile and feel all warm inside. This was one of the things he couldn't understand. Even his alchemy skills couldn't help him figure it out. He was sure of one thing, however. He loved you a lot and you felt the same way. That was all that really mattered. You both just wanted to stay together forever. Side by side.
