Somehow it feels like nothing has changed

Right now my heart is beating the same

I stand up quickly, hitting myself with the desk.

"Ouch" I mutter taking my hand to my head.

"Oh dear, you all right?" the pair of boots walks to me and kneels by my side.

"Y-y-yes, I'm clumsy, that's all"

He chuckles helping me up.

"All for nothing" I think to myself as I smile to a 30-something man who was wearing the same boots as Harry Styles.

Well, what did you think? That he would come right here while he's doing the soundcheck? That was just stupid.

I smile at him and ask if I can help him in anything. He ends up buying two pairs of shoes which makes the bump somehow worth it.

"Why the happy face?" Mr. Paterson asks when he comes back from lunch.

"I just sold a pair of our greatest shoes" I answer him with a proud smile.

He smiles back.

"Elisabeth" Mr. Paterson he says as I start walking away.

"Yes, sir?" I stop short and turn around.

"Maybe I am wrong; but are you a fan of One Direction?"

The question takes me completely by surprise.

Come on, seriously?

"Y-y-yes, sir, sort of" I answer nodding.

"Did you know that today was the last concert of their tour here in the O2 Arena?"

"Yes," I nod again; "Your daughter Sarah is going, isn't she?" I say, remembering about my boss'  17-year-old telling me about it.

"Well, she was" he says, "You'll see, she caught a cold a few days ago... And even though she hasn't left her bed these past days, she's not feeling any better. I don't think she can make it to the concert"

"Oh, no... I am so sorry to hear that"

"It's not that bad though; as you may know, she also went to the concert they did on September the 27th"

"Yes, I knew" I smile, "She showed me the pictures and told me all about it"

Mr. Paterson smiles as well.

"She was a bit disappointed with the fact that she won't be able to attend the last concert of the tour. However, she was very specific on what to do with the tickets"

I pull a face.

Where is this going?

"I think you'll be happy to know Sarah wants you to go to the concert for her" Mr. Paterson smiles handing me a pair of tickets.

I stare at them as if they were the Golden Tickets from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Because even from the distance, I can see they're not ordinary tickets.

"I bought her Special Access and Backstage Meet & Greet tickets" Mr. Paterson says as I shyly stretch out my hand to take them; "I hope you have someone you can go with"

"Oh, wow..." I say looking at them; "But sir, I have full-day shift today" I say looking up at him.

Mr. Paterson bursts out laughing.
