Sam’s POV

WHY? Of every place in the planet he had to choose coming here!? The only place where im happy shoping, I hate him so much, and im scared, scared that if I face him, I won’t be able to speak, that tears appear, and that he makes fun of me even more…

Anyways, I didn’t know he was out of rehab, he went in like a year and a half ago because he drank and smoked weed, I haven’t seen him ever since, Jessica broke up with him, but he is still popular, I bet he is even more popular because of the rehab.

I looked at Dalton, and then I realized I was almost breaking his hand, I let go and curled into a ball with my head on my knees, I feel so vulnerable right now.

“sorry” I said almost whispering.

“for what?” wow, I was surprised, I turned back to him and saw a face that I never thought he had, it was such a soft face, full of kindness and pitty.

“for almost killing your hand” he laughed slightly at that, I half smiled.

“don’t worry, I have had worse from your cousin, now, listen to me, you can’t hide forever, and you can’t avoid him neither, so, I need you to  stand up and pay for the clothes without paying attention to him, pretend he’s not there, just you and me, okay?”

‘just you and me’ those four words echoed in my head, I have never heard someone say that so clear and determinate.

BLUSH

I doubted for a second, at first I thought I couldn’t do it, but then I realized I had to, for my own good, I nooded at Dalton, he stood up and I followed him, holding his hand, we walked right beside Alex, and I could feel him looking and grinning.

And then, something like a wave of courage hit me, and I realized i shouldn’t be afraid of him, or anyone that made me feel bad, because I was strong enough to pass over them easily, I smiled, and looked at Alex just for a second, enough to watch his surprised and confused face, I slightly laughed and got hold of Dalton’s arm, he looked back at me, and I gave him the biggest smile I could give.

We went out of the store, and I was still smiling.

“thanks” I looked at Dalton, he just made me do something I couldn’t have done alone or even with Justin’s and Kylie’s help, I gave him a huge hug, I was a little bit shorter than him, just perfect, then I realized it, I liked him, a lot, he was amazing, I’ve only known him for 3 days, but, there is something about him…

I looked up at him, he was also smiling, I approached, the breach between our lips was getting shorter and shorter, until our lips crushed into the most amazing kiss, I felt fireworks all over my body, I surrounded his neck with my arms while he did the same with my hips.

We parted after a few minutes, I rested my head in his chest, while he played with my hair.

“Sam?”

“hm?” I asked, not moving.

“I know its quite soon, but… do you want to be my girlfriend?”

“yes” I didn’t thought about it twice, it seemed so right, I was happier with him around.

We started walking down the mall corridor, sudently, Kylie appeared, took my hand and dragged me away from Dalton, I gave him a “forgive me” look.

“I’ll meet you at the arcade” he said smiling, I smiled back, then looked back to Kylie.

“Yo, whats up?”

“you will not believe this!”

“what?”

“Cole asked me to be his girlfriend…”

“shut up, I kew he would do that sooner or later…” I grinned.

“why?”

“he set his eyes on youever since you both met at school”

“you think so”

“tottaly, oh, I have news too”

“I know, Dalton asked you out!”

“are you phsyqic or something?”

“no, its just that everyone knew it, quimestry girl, Cole was happy you know?”

“ he was?”

“yeah, pretty much”

“wow…anyways, lets go back to thearcade, I want to play Pac-man…”

“you just want to slob with Dalton in a corner…!” she said hitting me playfully in the arm.

“I rather not answer that… oh, I forgot, i kinda met Alex…”

“What? Dude, are you okay?” she said that in such a caring tone, oh, I love her soooo much.

“actually, yes, im perfect, im not afraid anymore, I even smiled to him, you should have seen his face, priceless!”

We laughed all the way to the arcade, people looked at us like we were some kind of aliens or something.
