the guards lead diyoza and I out of the shield, what am I going to do. when I get O I'll ask Russell if we can come back.
"you didn't have to come with me"
"this isn't for you."
she nods and we keep walking
"we need to find a place to stay for tonight"
"this looks fine"
we stop and start to make a fire
"don't worry. I'll show you how. improvise, adapt. overcome."
diyoza says looking down at her stomach
"im gonna go get more wood for the fire."
I get up and leave, this feels like a personal moment for her. as I'm looking for wood I hear motorcycles. dang it diyoza. I ran back but start to walk when I get closer.
"help us return the child-rose- and the 3 heads of our fallen primes, and Russell prime, hallowed be his name- will let your child be raised in sanctum."
"my child but not me."
"your child and Natheda. that's the offer. take it or leave it."
I hear my name which is means it's time for me to join this conversation
"and Octavia. when I find her she gets to come too."
"she was not mention as a person to not let in sanctum so im sure that will be fine."
"let me guess. the kids yours."
"no diyoza."
"not exactly. it's my duty to serve and protect the next prime."
"bodyguard. got it. bang-up job you did there."
"stop acting like your not gonna take this deal and let's go."
everyone stayed quiet
"you know, I, um, retrieved this taken from your belongings. the people who took rose now have guns, and so will you. im sorry I don't have a weapon for you."
she looks at me and I realize some of my weapons
"that's cause I never gave mine up."
"so do we have a deal or not?"
"one condition. we get bikes."
I don't know how to ride a bike diyoza. it can't be that hard right. we both get on bikes and put helmets on
"just get on with me kid"
I don't argue since i have no idea what I'm doing and we take off

we've spent all day looking for this rose girl, I just want to find O. I finally see people. please be O. I grab one of my guns and start shooting at them. once they're all down I grab my sword and start walking down the hill
"(Octavia)"
"(Lilith)"
I ran and hug her
"Im glad your okay O."
she just puts her hands on my face and then diyoza says something
"nice stick."
"rose, oh, thank God."
the bodyguard starts to go to rose but diyoza stops her
"stop."
"not yet, make sure they're all dead."
"they're not."
someone says and shoots at us. I go to throw a knife but Octavia stops me
"no. that one's mine."
Octavia runs and kills the girl
"no!"
rose was shot. the bodyguard starts screaming
"come on you need to take her back to sanctum."
she nods and I help her rose's lifeless body wrapped up and put on the bike
"I suppose our deal is off."
the lady doesn't say anything
"like hell it is. you'll see me soon."
Octavia grabs someone's gun
"what are you doing now?"
"one of them wasn't here. I'm gonna find him, and I'm gonna kill him."
"was he their leader?"
"no. their leader is some old man who-"
"you saw him, the old man?"
"no. from what I heard? they don't even know if he's dead or alive."
"but if he is alive and I kill him..."
"the primes will honor the deal. im sure of it."
"then consider it done."
"good luck."
"I don't need it. but she probably does."
I point at diyoza and the bodyguard drives away. I walk over to O and start putting on the enemy's clothes over mine to blend in
"looks like you guess have another partner. come on I'll teach you both how to ride this thing. we kill some terrorists. the devils from earth become the heroes of sanctum. easy peasy. what do y'all say?"
"I say you talk to much."
"we're in."
"dress like the enemy. smart."

o and I say at the same time walking with the bike
"see? the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
and with that we all take off on the bikes, me on the back off O's of course.
"you gonna tell me about the second flame, natheda?"
"there's nothing to tell. Monty and I made a new flame. theres two commanders"
"why did you wake me up?"
"your not the best option on a new planet, we're trying not to start a war."
she just scoffed.
"what are you some good guy now?"
now it's my turn to scoff
"I don't think I'll ever be a good guy."
the dirt bike starts to slowly stop snd so does diyoza's
"looks like we're walking"
diyoza says but we both stay quiet
"(you should've let me kill her when they opened that bunker)"

we just kept walking

we all stop. Im ready to kill this lady. we start walk up to each other but the ground starts sinking
"O what's happening."

"It's quick sand."
diyoza informs us. we tried to get out but it only got worse.
"octavia would you like to know  why your brother left you out here to die?"
"oh, shut up."
"your a hurricane leaving a path if destruction in your wake. and you created a little hurricane too."
"I said, shut up."
she starts moving around
"your making it worse."
"so you hate people and you raised a little monster. who cares? suck up and get over it."
"whatever you think you know about me and Lilith, you don't."
"you're wrong. I used to be you. you know that the more you struggle, the deeper you sink, and you can't help it."
"at least I'm trying. your baby's ticket into sanctum is getting away, and what are you doing about it? nothing."
"you know this isn't gonna help o, he's probably watching us right now. "
"Lilith's right. he's not getting away. he's studying us from the trees. that's why he told us not to struggle."
"I don't see anything."
"you will as soon as I give up this gun. and your killer gives up all her weapons."

"before I do that, though, I need to know..."
she pulled out a gun to Octavia head I grab my sword and start to go to diyoza but I just start sinking so I grab my throwing knives but realize I can't grab anything cause of the quick sand
"hey! put that down diyoza"
"do you want to die? just say the word, and I can put you out of our misery."
"diyoza."
"you think you can scare me?"
o put her head on the gun. please dont. don't freak out Lilith. no emotion.
"do it."
"I will kill you if you do it."
she moved the gun off of O's head
"I've been there. self inflicted"
"I see you failed at that, too."
"are you good at anything?"
"you two are trying my patients so I'm only going to say this once. as long as you draw breath, you can turn it around. everybody hates you right now. so what? talk to me when your face is in the history books next to the worst people that have ever lived."
"we are those people incase you haven't noticed."
she throws her gun and I hear something and then someone comes out of the woods
"I like the gray. toss us the rope and we'll tell you what you want to know."
"tell me what I want to know, and I'll toss you the rope."
"clever guy huh"
"what do you want to know?"
"some of your people had blood alteration-"
night blood?
"-how many? did they have mind drives as well?"
the flame?
"(this is the time I wish she knew our language)"
"don't tell him anything. the minute you do, he'll leave us here to die."
the man sighs
"suit yourself. but I can guarantee you- ah- I can wait longer than you."
"I guarantee you I can kill you right there."
"(he's the only thing that can get us out)"
"(you just said he would leave us to die)"
I give O a look but she doesn't say anything she just started to move around again I go to grab a weapon but remember the stupid quick sand won't let me
"(I did not go through everything I've been through in my life to die in quick sand.)"
"(you're not dying, we're getting out of here.)"
"stop talking in that weird language if I hear that again today im going to kill myself."
diyoza says obviously tired of us
"(do it)"
I say in the same tone as O did when the gun was to her head
"God I hate you two."
it felt like hours went by and we're still in the same spot
"ok, fun's over. let's talk."
"don't you dare say a word."
Octavia said everything under the sand except her head
"it's fine. we can wait till she goes under. I don't need all 3 of you."
"oh trust me the little ones gonna be worse one day. if she's not already."
I just scoff
"ok, here's the deal. I'm gonna talk after you die to save myself and kill your daughter after-"
"I would love to see you try"
"-so what are you really accomplishing?"
"she gets a hero's death, but if your silence helps the wrong side, are you still a hero?"
"is there really any hero's in any world."
"well you see, by my count, you've killed 12 of my people, and we've killed none of yours-"
"maybe your people deserved it?"
"- no one deserves that. so who's the villain?"
"im gonna say you since you kidnap little kids."

"but feel free to prove us wrong and toss that rope."

"oh, for gods sakes! tell him. I've seen your little killer her bloods black, she knows"

*wind bowling, distant rumbling*

diyoza yells at the man who looks cared
"a temporal flare."

he throws us the rope
"get out and run!"
he then runs away
"hey get back here! now!"
we all turn our head and see a green glowing light
"I can't move. save your baby! and my child please."
"O, im not leaving you."
"yes you are. (do as I say now.)"
"(no im staying. I'll die with you blodreina)"
"I'll come back for y'all!"
she runs away and the green stuff gets closer
"you're a idiot you know."
"wonder where I get it from."
she just laughs I start to move a lot so I can go under the quick sand and maybe survive
"go under O"
we look at each other and then both lean our heads back. everything went black. am I dead?
"hold on."
diyoza?
"octavia. Lilith. Octavia."
"help Lilith now."
*cough*
I shoot up
"oh my God I thought I died. thank you"
she just nods
"octavia you went under. I guess you want to live after all."
she nods and looks at me
"he's getting away."
"let's go."
diyoza and I get up and start walking but O doesn't
"octavia? what's wrong."
"my hand. look at it."
"what the crap. come on I bet that man will know what to do."
diyoza comes back and looks at O's arm
"thats bad but we need to move. come on killer"
