Love isn't for everyone, and yeah, not for me. I hate everything. I hate everyone around me. I can't even feel my existence anymore.

I don't know why there are so many people who are doing everything just to seek attention and beg for love.

For me, I prefer sitting in the corner alone while listening to my favorite song. Drinking my cup of coffee and imagining things that are way far from this cruel reality.

I sighed as I ate the last piece of my chips. I looked at my wrist watch, and it's already 9:30 pm. I stand up to get my hoodie; I need to buy some food for dinner.

I decided to go to the convenience store, which is just four houses away from my apartment, wearing my black hoodie jacket and my earphones on, which are currently playing my favorite song, "It Will Rain by Bruno Mars'. I went inside the store to buy some foods that are easy to cook.

I walked towards the cashier to pay for the food. My brows furrowed as I caught the cashier staring at me intently.

"What?" I mouthed, but she didn't answer and just remained looking at me.

I looked at her from head to toe; she's wearing the store's white uniform, and I bet she's just in her mid-twenties.

I stopped half way when I heard her uttering a word. "Patay ka na..."

"What?" I asked, a bit shocked. I can't help, but frown because of her weirdness.

"N-namatay ka na," she repeated.

I looked at her in disbelief. "Seriously? If you're just trying to make fun of me, then the hell you don't have a sense of humor, so you better shut up."

"Patay ka na... namatay ka k-kanina lang. Sa labas-"

I didn't wait for her to finish her sentence and just walked towards the store's exit. Fuck! I think she already lost her mind.

'Paano naman ako namatay kanina kung ngayon lang ako lumabas ng bahay?'

I shrugged and tried to forget about that weirdo. I was about to leave, but a light and the loud horn from the upcoming truck stopped me from doing it. It felt like I was frozen and remained standing in my place.

I closed my eyes, and in just a snap, my heart suddenly stopped beating as tears started to stream down my face. I can't feel my body, but I still tried to open my eyes.

I heard the loud noise from the siren and from the people trying to come nearer to the girl, who's now bathing in her own blood.

I checked myself to look for some bruises, but I got shocked when I saw nothing. I was perfectly fine, but I'm 100% sure that the truck hit me hard.

I redirected my gaze to the girl, who was still lying on the cold ground. No one was trying to help her—useless people. They choose to take videos and pictures first, then post them to their social media accounts, instead of helping the girl. She's wearing the same outfit as I am. I came closer to see her face, and that was the moment when I realized It was me.

Suddenly, memories came flashing in my mind.

It was 8 pm when I decided to leave my apartment and go to the convenience store to buy some food. As I entered the store, I noticed the cashier's stare at me. It felt like she was scared or something. Before I could even leave the store, the cashier had already warned me about what was going to happen.

"Mamamatay ka, huwag kang uuwi."

I ignored what she said. I thought it was some kind of kiddy prank, but no, she's right because it really happened, just like what she said.

I heard a familiar sound from my phone, still playing my favorite song. And just like the lyrics, the rain started to fall as my tears started to burst, realizing that I was... already dead.
