Castiel and the girl he had run into earlier was helping him learn as much as he possibly could about demons. How they work and what they did, half of it was about demonic possession and how some demons had to be let into their hosts. However, what he didn't understand was why the one he had met earlier felt stronger than any other demon he had noticed.
"I never really got your name by the way," Castiel said as the girl with blonde hair looked over at him. "And what demons could be more powerful than any other demon?"
"Well first of all call me Jo and second the demons have ranks similar to angels, the ones at the top are of course the devil, second we have Lilith and the princes of Hell, followed by the seven deadly sins," Jo explained. Castiel wasn't sure how she knew all this but he was grateful for any help he could get. But one thing she said really got his attention.
"Wait," Castiel said. "I'm sorry but did I hear you right? Did you say the Seven deadly sins?"
"Yes most hunters believe they are just emotions or tied to the princes but according to the lore, they were all created during the fall of mankind, but sir you do realize that it's all fake right?" Jo asked after explaining everything to him. Castiel wasn't so sure that the demons were all fake he sure as hell had seen at least two in the past hour.
"Yeah of course but say they are real," Castiel said cautiously. "What are their names? And how can you tell which one is which?" Jo thought for a minute before answering. She was wondering what was going through this man's head.
"Well there's of course Wrath, then Envy, Greed, Sloth, Pride, Gluttony, and Lust," Jo explained. "I feel like their names describe themselves as for finding them I would say they go after the ones who are vulnerable," she continued. "Especially if something tragic happened," she kept going. "I think the only way to identify them is by their clothing, Lust is said to dress in a way that would attract many,"
"Like a black shirt, jeans, and a leather jacket?" Castiel asked.
"Theoretically yes, I would say a look like that attracts many people," Jo answered. Now knowing exactly what demon was inside of Dean he was more than ever determined to find Dean and somehow force the demon out of him. Which meant he had to come up with a way to exorcise the demon before things got out of hand.
"Thank you Jo," Castiel said. "Sorry if it was weird, but I should probably get going," He walked out of the room as Jo had been completely confused by what Castiel had just said. Shaking her head she gathered her books and walked out of the apartment complex. The next thing he had to do was figure out what the hell the demons wanted. Jo wondered why Castiel had asked her so many questions about demons, no one she knew was ever that interested. It scared her a little bit since it seemed like he was trying to find one to summon.
"No I'm being ridiculous there is no such thing as demons," Jo said as she walked back to her own apartment. Ever since her parents had died she had the whole place to herself and on occasion got lonely. She unlocked the door and set her books down on the table. It was getting late in the day so she turned the oven on to make herself dinner and sat on the couch while she waited she looked through her father's old bible. Before she could get far someone knocked on her door and figuring it was Castiel wanting to ask more questions she sighed as she answered the door. "Castiel I already..." Jo trailed off when she noticed who was at the door. "Dean?" She asked, unable to believe her eyes. Last she heard he was missing and all of sudden he just shows up at her door?
"Among other things, can I come in?" He asked. Jo suddenly felt scared but wasn't sure why and let him anyway. It wasn't like Dean hadn't been in her house before but she hadn't talked with them since he turned down her feelings for him. She would be lying if she said she wasn't still angry about it.
"You look different," she said to him. "What's with the new look?"
"Thought I'd give it a try and by the way why did you call me Castiel when you first opened the door?" Lust asked. He could sense that she had some anger built up in her and since she knew so much it would make her perfect for his brother Wrath. He just had to get her to say yes and it would all be over. She explained how Castiel bumped into her and asked her a bunch of questions after he took her back to his apartment. "Really you don't say?"
"Yeah he was asking all these questions about demons, I think maybe he's been working too hard trying to find you," Jo said to him. "By the way why did you disappear like that, you shouldn't do that to your friends Dean," she continued. Lust could sense that her anger was rising and decided to play with her feelings a bit.
"I can't really say, doesn't that make you so angry?" Lust asked, getting closer to her.
"Yes!" Jo screamed and the demon smirked.
"Just the answer I was hoping for," Lust said, flashing his black eyes at her. "She's all yours brother," a black mist appeared from behind him and it shoved itself down Jo's throat. "I love it when I win," Meanwhile at the sametime Castiel was busy looking for any trace of Dean. He figured that Lust had to at least be seen by some people since he wasn't hiding in the middle of the woods. So far all he had managed to find was the newest news article about the deaths of three women. Two at a nearby clothing store and one inside her own house, he had the feeling that Lust was responsible for them.
"So from the way it looks Lust is still in town, that gives me a chance to track him down," Castiel said to himself but held his head as he heard strange whispers from some sort of higher power echo in his head. He winced and pinched the bridge of his nose wondering why he suddenly felt sharp pain.
"Hard day Clarence," a voice said behind Castiel. He turned around to see Meg standing behind him, she was holding an angel blade in her hand.
"I know you, you're the demon I saw in the police officer, what are you doing here?" He asked unsure what to do or how to fight her. She was most likely twice as strong as he was and probably already dead. "I'm guessing you are here for me,"
"Glad you caught on sweetie," Meg said as other demons stood behind her. "But sadly, my boss sees you as a threat, get him!" The demons attacked him. Unsure how to react he touched one of the demons on the forehead and they seemed to burn under his touch.
"What?" Castiel asked, gazing down at his hands. Before he could even ask questions more demons attacked him yet they all met the same fate whenever they got close to him.
"If we weren't on opposite sides I would find that a whole matter of hot," Meg said as she used demon powers to force Castiel to his knees. "So, it's true what my boss said, you still have some of your abilities and yet you don't remember what you are," Meg laughed evilly. "This is too good," Meg approached Castiel and knelt before him. "I could kill you but, I would much rather not, you are so desperate to find your friend that it's all you can think about,"
"How long are you going to keep talking about this lady?" Castiel said as he somehow found himself able to break free from Meg's hold. She gasped as he stood up and touched her on the forehead. She screamed and her face glowed until he let go making her fall to the ground. "And don't call me Clarence," he said to her. The other demons stumbled back and, not willing to take any chances, they quickly took off before Castiel could do something to them. "I am really starting to hate demons,"
