Castiel had gone over everything with the police multiple times, but multiple times they were no help. At this point he was getting tired of questioning everything, it was a pain in the ass when his best friend was somewhere out there and here he was, being interviewed by a police officer.
"Can you stop interviewing me?!" Castiel exclaimed. "I already told you the situation! Shouldn't you go out there and search for him?!"
"Listen, young man, we are trying to help," The police officer said, however, when Castiel looked at the officer once again he noticed something different about him. "We're about to head to the station now and send in our best detectives," the officer looked at Castiel and snapped his fingers in front of him. "Kid!"
"What?" Castiel snapped out of his thoughts. "Oh right,"
"Are you okay?" the officer said.
"Yeah..i'm fine," Castiel said simply as the officer nodded and got up from the chair to walk out of the apartment leaving Castiel alone. Castiel couldn't understand what the hell he had seen but it was something that he really did not like. That guy wasn't even a man, or at least he didn't think was a man. Maybe he was tired but he swore the officer had a shriveled-up face under his actual face. Shaking his head he stopped thinking about what he saw and wondered who could have taken Dean. His best friend didn't really have any bad history with anyone besides his father so he couldn't think of someone who would want to take him. "These officers are not going to find him, I just know it, by the time they found Sam he was long gone, I'm going to find him myself," Castiel whispered to himself. The best place to start would be to question Dean's neighbors to see if they saw anyone strange. So for the second time that day, he left his apartment to go looking for evidence. As he walked away the officer got into her car and started driving away from the scene. She wasn't expecting Castiel to look at her the way he did but none of that mattered at the moment. As she had to focus on her mission and keep anyone from finding out what really happened. Something appeared beside her and she wasn't at all surprised to see who it was.
"You called sir?" Meg asked as her eyes flashed black.
"Is it done, Meg?" Dean said.
"Yes but I must warn you that Castiel seems to be determined to find his friend, so you might want to cover your tracks," Meg explained. She had a feeling that this Castiel was more than he seemed and she had a feeling that her boss already knew that. Dean chuckled, knowing exactly what Meg was talking about.
"I know," Dean responded. "He's not human either, he's an angel," he continued. "He fell from heaven to become human," Meg for a few seconds thought that he was joking. There wasn't anything angel-like about Castiel, he seemed like a regular mortal who was just determined.
"Are you certain? He doesn't seem to remember being an angel?" Meg asked.
"Sometimes I wonder about you Meg," Dean started. "Sure, he doesn't remember he's an angel but that's mostly because when an angel decides to become mortal, their memories of being an angel vanish," he continued. "He can retain some of his abilities such as hearing the angels and seeing us for who we truly are, but he won't remember anything," he kept going. "But to be on the safe side, I will deal with him, stick with the plan if we're to get more souls to hell, we need enough vessels to hold my brothers and sisters," he explained, talking about the other six demons they were trying to bring back.
"Of course sir I won't let you down," Meg responded.
"Try not to," Dean threatened. "Unless you want me to tell your daddy how you failed your mission," Dean disappeared from the car and went to search for Castiel. Upon finding Castiel, he saw that the angel was talking to many of Dean's neighbors giving the demon a chance to mentally communicate with him.
"Hello Castiel," Said the demon. Castiel heard the voice but wasn't sure where it was coming from.
"Umm are you okay?" A woman asked since he seemed to be distracted. "I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. I only know I saw a woman at Dean's door," she continued. Castiel nodded and excused himself so that he could find the source of the voice.
"What is this? Who is talking to me?" Castiel asked once he was out of earshot.
"Really Castiel, you have not figured it out yet?" the voice responded which had been inside of Dean's apartment. Castiel raced into Dean's apartment and saw him sitting on his bed.
"Dean, what in the world are you wearing and where have you been?" Castiel asked. Even though he felt like something was off since it looked Dean had a shriveled up face like the officer from before. Dean laughed and stood up, he already knew what Castiel actually saw and was determined to get under his skin.
"Oh you don't like this new look?" Dean answered. "Pitty, I thought it looked good," Dean continued. "I know what you are Castiel, and I'm saying this as well, you should stay away from us," he kept going. "I mean you're just going to get in the way, you won't be able to find your friend, he belongs to me."
"You're a demon," Castiel said suddenly even though he wasn't sure how he knew that. "I always thought they were myths and more impressive," he continued. "Let me guess you want to kill me?" He asked. Something about this interaction was so familiar to him that he wasn't afraid. He was just trying to keep the demon from getting into his head. "For the record, I'm not impressed,"
"That's funny you think all this is happening in real life," Dean explained. "This is all happening in your head Castiel," he continued. "I'm already in your head, you're so desperate to save your friend, but there's more to this than you think," Dean walked toward Castiel until he was in Castiel's personal space. "You may be able to do so much Cass, but without your powers, your nothing but a useless mortal, so either you stay out of the way or I will kill Dean despite him being my meat suit,"
"I'm not afraid of you and listen to me you abomination, I will hunt you down to the ends of the earth and I will save Dean," Castiel responded. "You on the other hand can go to Hell," he continued. "And I don't know about you but I've heard that that's an awful place, even for a creature like you,"
"We'll see about that, oh good luck finding your friend, he's long gone by now," with that, the demon cut the connection and came to the roof. Now that he had gotten into Castiel's head maybe this time he would think twice before finding his friend. However as the demon was getting ready to leave he could feel Dean fighting through but it had been no use as the demon made sure to place sad memories that Dean would no doubt remember the next thing he was going to do was search for more souls to send to hell starting with a cute girl he saw near a coffee shop.
