"Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica. Ergo, omnis legio diabolica, adiuramus te... cessa decipere humanas creaturas, eisque æternæ perditionìs venenum propinare... Vade, satana, inventor et magister omnis fallaciæ, hostis humanæ salutis... Humiliare sub potenti manu Dei; contremisce et effuge, invocato a nobis sancto et terribili nomine... quem inferi tremunt... Ab insidiis diaboli, libera nos, Domine. Ut Ecclesiam tuam secura tibi facias libertate servire, te rogamus, audi nos!" The exorcism chat caused the demons to start thrashing. The process was extremely painful for them, but being the creatures they were they tried to fight their way out of it.

"If you kill us you will be the one held responsible for all that has happened!" Wrath screamed. Her voice was hoarse due to all the screaming and she tried to grab onto Dean. He pushed her away calling her a disgusting creature who should rot in Hell. Though her words left an effect on him as he was feeling guilty about this whole thing. Eventually, all of the demons were gone and all that was left were passed out humans with no memory of what happened.

"Dean, we need to get out of here," Castiel said, appearing behind his friend. Dean nodded and walked out of the factory as he and Castiel stepped outside.

"Cass..wait," Dean said. "Everything that's happened, I know it might not be my fault but to me, it feels like it is," he continued. "I've been gone for almost 48 hours and half of those things that Lust did while he was in control of me, I had been awake for half of that," he kept going. "I saw him kill all three of those girls, I saw him summon Greed and Wrath to enter Jo and Lisa. After everything that's gone down, I just can't do it anymore man,"

"Dean," Castiel said as he knew his friend would have been scarred for life. He couldn't let Dean feel all those things, especially now that he knew there were things out there that go bump in the night. "Trust me on this, when you wake up, it's going to feel like it was all a dream,"

"What?" Dean said in confusion but Castiel hadn't let him finish as he placed two fingers on Dean and made him pass out but also made sure to wipe the past 48 hours from his memory. The next morning, Dean groaned as he rubbed his eyes, noticing that he was now in his room. But for some strange reason, he couldn't remember anything that happened, his vision had been slightly blurry. "Did I black out again?" He asked, seeing his friend was deep in thought on a nearby chair.

"Yes I found you passed out on your floor, I thought you said you wouldn't get drunk like that again," Castiel answered. He was playing this off like he was still human since he knew Dean would never believe him if he said he was an angel.

"I'm sorry but all I could think about was Sammy, do you ever do that? Focus on one person for the sake of others?" Dean asked.

"Yeah I did that recently," Castiel answered. He knew how it felt for someone close to him to feel unreachable, even with his powers back in order. He still cared a great deal about Dean and the other humans he knew, and he didn't think that would ever change. "But I promise everything will be okay, you will see Sam again, but in the meantime please take care of yourself," he continued. As he was leaving he picked up news on angel radio and he knew he had to leave before some random angel showed up and blew his cover or had Dean remember being possessed. "Excuse me," he said, leaving the apartment to go outside.

"Castiel," A voice from behind him. He wasn't sure what the angel wanted but he knew better than to ignore them.

"I wasn't expecting this," Castiel said. "But before you say anything I should say that I'm a little afraid to go home, I experienced being mortal and some part of me is mortal yet,"

"I understand that," Sam said, revealing himself to Castiel. "You have two options, Cass, you can either go back to heaven, or you can stay here in the mortal world and become Dean's guardian angel," he continued. "I know that looking after my brother is supposed to be my thing but after everything I've seen and the amount of pain he's in, if I'm around him, I know he can sense me,"

"That would explain things," Castiel answered. He thought for a while about his decision and while returning to Heaven was tempting he couldn't leave Dean alone in this state. "He needs me,"

"Is that your final decision?" Sam asked. "To watch over Dean? To make sure my brother doesn't get in any more trouble?"

"It won't be easy as I know I can't fill the hole in his heart that you left, but if I leave he won't have anyone," Castiel responded. "So yes that is my choice,"

"Thank you, Cass," Sam said. "I will let the other angels know of your decision, on days like my death anniversary, I'll pay him a visit," Before Castiel could say anything Sam had disappeared and traveled back to heaven leaving Castiel on earth to watch over Dean. While it wasn't going to be the same as when he had been mortal, at least he still had a chance to spend time with his best friend. That was more than anything he would have ever needed.
