"Jessica!!!" my mother sing-songed, bursting though the door of my bedroom.

I groaned and hid my face under the covers, willing her to go away so I could drift back off to sleep.

"Rob is coming over today! We've decided it's finally time he met you since I've met his son," she was smiling ear to ear as she peeled the covers away from me.

"Rob the slob has a kid?" I asked, rolling my eyes at her eagerness so early in the morning.

She nodded and walked into my closet, pulling out a tight black sundress.

"Put this on and get decent, he'll be here in half an hour," she skipped, literally skipped, out of the room

"Put this on and get decent, he'll be here in half an hour," she skipped, literally skipped, out of the room.

I cursed her along with the universe in my head as I reached for my phone, checking the time.

8:30 am!

Is she fuckin nuts waking me up this early, especially since I hadn't gotten home until a little after 4.

I sighed, defeated, as I got up and went through my morning routine.

As I was adding the finishing touches to my makeup, the doorbell rung out and I heard my mother running through the foyer.

I slowly made my way down the stairs to see my mother and Robert making out.

I cleared my throat and tucked my hands behind my back, disrupting their moment.

Robert smiled and looked me over, lingering on my chest area for a second too long, and reached out a hand.

"You must be Jessica. Your mother has told me so much about you. I actually have a son a year older than you. Maybe the two of you could become friends," he rambled on and on and all I really wanted to do was to jab my thumbs into his eye sockets.

I nodded politely and let my mother lead him into the living room.

I sighed and wondered into the kitchen, grabbing a smoothie out of the refrigerator.

I sat and scrolled through my phone for what felt like hours before I heard noises, noises that I never wanted to hear again, coming from my mothers bedroom.

I groaned and went upstairs to grab my bag and keys. I had to get out of this house.

I drove to the mall and phoned up Dixie, asking to meet up so I could spill the tea to her.

We met half an hour later in the food court.

"Oh my god, that is so fucking disgusting. I would honestly kill myself if that ever happened to me," she flashed a grin at me.

I rolled my eyes and forked through my salad.

"Don't look now, but there is an insanely sexy dude staring at you, 3'o clock," her eyes peered off to the right and I shamelessly whipped my head to the side.
