"yes, touya."

"you still sound just as pretty saying my name, have i ever told you that ?" he placed your arms around his neck and you clasped your hands together in response. he then took it upon himself to wrap his own around your lower back. "no. but i'm glad to hear that."

"i knew you would be, y/n." the way he said your name, again, clouded your mind. he began leaning in, in hopes that you wouldn't stop him because of your morals. but he knows you, you're going to. "touya. we can't." he smirks a little. "why not ? it's 'cause of them isn't it ? it's okay, they don't have to know."

"touya." your stern voice made him sigh and lean back. "okay okay, whatever you say, boss lady." he joked and you scoffed and hit his chest before pushing yourself off of him to return to behind your desk. "what did you really need to talk to me about ?" you rolled your eyes as he let out a small chuckle.

"us." he sat upon a desk, your brow raised as you looked up from the papers you were organizing. "i'm kidding i'm kidding. shoto, he uh... he's kind of going through stuff at home with the old man." he looked away and your face softened. "he's doing this shotoroki too ??"

"shotoroki ? that's cute. but yeah, and i don't know how to comfort him. i can't do it the way you used to because that would be weird, and i would end up in jail." he explained and you hummed, thinking of a solution.

"maybe i can help with that, i can pull him out for a little while everyone else is still working. he's a good kid plus, i don't want him to overwork himself." you look down at the papers again then as soon as you look back up, there he is, right in front of you. across the desk. "that would mean the world to me."

"i know. and i also know how much you love shoto." you put the papers down and smile softly. "you love him too, did you forget that ?" he asked with a smile, the smile that made you fall for his stupid ass in the first place. it didn't look any different than it did before the, uh...the modifications.

"no i mean, yeah it's just, i mean as in family." you snicker and gently smack his arm. "i know, i know." he chuckled and there was an awkward silence. "hey, uhm. is your number still the same ?" he cleared his throat and finally asked.

"hmm ? oh, yeah, i was gonna change it but nothing happened to my old phone so i get to keep it." you pulled your phone out and unlocked it in front of him. "your password is still your birthday huh ?" he chuckled and you nodded. "of course it is, you know i can't remember any other passwords."

"you were able to remember my birthday too. you never even remembered your parent's. i felt so special." he fake gushed at the girl in front of him. she laughed softly and looked away for a second. "i still do remember it. i just, didn't really reach out because i was unsure if you wanted to talk to me again."

you looked down at the papers and touya's smile dropped slowly, once he saw your still figure. "hey, don't say that, if anything i kind of hoped you would. but i knew you were probably busy teaching and i didn't want to hold you up."

"you wouldn't be holding me up, i just- i shoulda said something. we both could just talk when we're available. i-i didn't think about that."

"y/n it's okay. seriously. i wouldn't have been able to get any texts. i had to change my number." he reassured you and you sighed and looked up at him. "really ? what happened to your phone ?"

"dropped it into an open fucking manhole." he looked away from you for a second. then when he looked back he saw you snickering. "the hell're you laughing at ?" he asked, causing you to full on cackle. "again ?!" you laughed at him and he only sucked his teeth.

"oh haha. so funny." he rolled his eyes and you wiped the possible tears from your eyes. "but yeah, again. anyways, aside from your romantic life, how've you been ? workwise and stuff like that ?" he asked, clearly awkward about saying "romantic" and not talking about himself.

"ah, well it's been rocky. the best part of it is my mom still sends me letters and pictures. sometimes when she has internet, a little text." you smile at the thought of your hardworking traveling mother. you're proud of her.

"what about your pops ? what's he up to ?" he tilted his head to the side and you smiled bigger. "still running the same old shaggy boot camp. whooping them bad ass kids into shape so they'll behave." you shook your head and touya shuddered.

"still ? i mean i get it, he shouldn't quit what he loves." you laugh at the statement, a small snort following. "yeah, but how have you been ? apart from... the- i- uh- yeah." you awkwardly spat out, and he chuckled. "eh, shitty but good at the same time. i got shit to do but i have people there to help me do it."

"yeah ? well put me on that list again. i may be a teacher but if you need my help i'm down." you smiled and he chuckled, lifting a hand and patting your head like he used to. "you really haven't changed. a bit."

"is that a bad thing ?" you furrow your brows and he shakes his head, a small smile creeping up on his face. "i promise, it's not. not at all." he basically says in an extremely quiet whisper. "not at all."
