Trouble always comes in three.

It started as a normal day; the sun was shining. Birds were chirping. And Amy was just getting out of bed. She woke up as the alarm clock struck 6.00am. she through the clock across the room and into the wall. "Damn it, not again" she said into her pillow.

She stood up and walked to the bathroom and got ready. She combed her hair and braided it so that it wouldn't get in the way at work. Amy put on her work clothes before walking into the kitchen grabbing her bag and a banana. She wasn't a big fan of breakfast as she wasn't usually hungry, but the others would force her to eat something either way.

She walked out the door and made her way down the promenade. She only lived 15 minutes walking distance from the beach so she could enjoy the calm before the storm. That was the life of a lifeguard. It was never quiet, and it was a very physically demanding job, but it kept her in shape, and she loved helping people. Unlike most of the others, Amy didn't grow up by the beach. She grew up in the suburbs inland and only discovered her love for surfing and the beach when she moved t Sydney to study.

She put her bag in the locker-room before walking over to the tower. "Hey guys!" she said walking into the tower. Maxi and Deano were in the tower as Jesse were out putting up the flags. It was a bit cloudy today and the rips were pulling as much as ever, but surely the beach would be full within a few hours. Luckily, only the locals were at the beach at the moment.

A few hours had passed and right now Amy and Singlet were patrolling the south end. Amy saw a hand go up. "I'm going in she said over the walkie talkie as she stripped of her shirt. She grabbed the board and sprinted towards the rip where she could see a grown man struggling to stay afloat. She started paddling against the waves and her muscles were starting to sting. She kept moving closer and did her best to reach him in time.

"Grab on!" she shouted as she reached him. He spluttered out a thank you as he tried to grab on. She had to pull him back on the board to not nosedive as someone had done a few days prior. The man helped paddle in towards land. It was a textbook rescue.

They both stood up and walked up the beach. "Be careful next time, okay?" Amy said only walking back to the rhino when she got a yes in return.

A while later she was on her way towards the tower for her lunchbreak when she spotted a kid standing alone and crying. Amy walked over and kneeled down in front of her. "Are you okay?" she asked. The little girl whipped away some tears while shaking her head. "Where are your parents?" "I-I don't know" she said. "what's your name sweety?" Amy asked, "Susy" "Well then, lets go to the tower to look for you parents, okay?" Amy said picking Susy up and continued her walk to the tower.

She barely got to the tower before they got a call about a spinal down between the flags. Amy left Susy with Mouse before grabbing the spinal board and running down the beach. It wasn't that far, and she got there in seconds. She helped get the spinal bard in place and carry the unlucky man up to the bogie. Amy walked into the tower as the boys loaded the man up the ramp.

What she walked in to was absolutely chaos. There were 6 teenage boys being treated after a hard time on the rocks. "What happened here?" She asked walking over and grabbing the med aid bag that had not yet been taken. "These fellas thought today would be a good day to jump on the rocks up north." Harries said finishing up a guy with a large gash over his forehead. "We called an ambulance for ya mate, you need stitches and might have a concussion" Harries continued while taking him to a chair up by the window. Amy helped another boy that only had a few small cuts by cleaning the gashes and plastering them.

By the time the ambulances came, her lunchbreak was over. She didn't even have time to eat! She trudged her way over to the rhino that was now up north to help patrol the beach with Kerrbox. "How did lunch go?" Amy shrugged, "Hectic". She plumped down on the seat right before she had to jump out and do a rescue.

"Well trouble always comes in three"
