Uraraka
I was surprised on how well we came up with our defensive move after school on Thursday. It was all Bakugo's idea, which kind of bummed me out because I wanted to try out my ideas too, but they just didn't work. Bakugo may be a strict partner, but he is efficient. We figured out our new move in only ten minutes! It's similar to how we combine our quirks in the offensive move; I control Bakugo's kickback as he fires his quirk, but instead of in the air, we are on the ground as if surrounded by enemies. We spin like a top and he creates a shield of fire and smoke! I'm the pivot point so it took a couple tries to figure out how to spin him without both of us falling over, but we got it! All that was left was to write our report and present tomorrow.
When I got back to my room, I felt antsy for some reason. It was just too quiet in here. Maybe I would feel more comfortable writing my report in the commons? I think I would feel better with people around. I changed out of my gym suit and into some sweats before grabbing my laptop and heading downstairs.
To my surprise, Bakugo was already at a table with his laptop. For a second, I thought he might have felt lonely like I had, but then I saw the bowl of stir fry in his hands. I don't like eating in my room either.
I sat down across from him with a smile. "Hey!"
He watched me open my laptop as he finished swallowing a bite of food. "What are you doing?"
"Homework."
He grumbled. "What are you doing here? Sit somewhere else."
"Why? We're partners in this assignment. We can work together on our reports."
He rolled his eyes and opened his mouth to speak, but Kirishima suddenly appeared in the seat next to him. He was set down a tray loaded with food. I could make out the bowl of meat and rice and a tall drink before a bunch of bagged snacks.
"What up??" He sang.
Annoyance coiled on Bakugo's face.
"Hey, Kirishima! That's a big meal!" I awed.
"Oh, yeah! Tsu and I have been working like crazy at our special moves!" He flexed his arm, "I can't wait to show everyone tomorrow!"
"There's so much!" I could feel myself drooling over the slab of beef on the rice bowl.
"Have you eaten yet?" he asked.
"Not yet. But I am getting a little hungry."
"Here," he offered a wrapped snack that looked like a bread bun. "I got these from the store to try out, but I don't like the flavor of jelly inside. You can have it if you want."
"Really?" I took it, excited to try it. "Thanks, Kirishima!"
I glanced at Bakugo, who was side-eye glaring at his friend. He must have really wanted to eat by himself. Ha! Oh well, poor Sunshine!
"Are you guys working on your report?" Kirishima asked, leaning over to see Bakugo's screen.
"Yup!" I said.
He nodded. "I'm going to start mine tonight."
"Or you could get lost now." Bakugo suggested annoyed.
"Come on, man, can't I eat?" Kirishima took a bite of food. "You're eating!"
"DON'T TALK WITH YOUR MOUTH FULL YOU IDIOT!!" He snapped.
Kirishima wobbled his head as if to mock him before eating quietly. They are such weird friends. I started unwrapping the snack while Kirishima turned his attention to his phone. I never had one of these before, I hope it's good. I took a bite and berry jelly gushed out of the sides! I used my hand to catch the falling filling while most of it stuck to my face. Napkin!
