CHAPTER NINE
His brother, the one that claimed me that im his ‘mate’. The one who tried to kill me in the tree house. “your brother!, he he tried killing me, I I cant be here anymore you’ll tell him and he will just try and kill me… and OMG your one of them as well and holly shit vampires are totally real I totally forgot about that and right now I sound like a teenage girl and iv gotta go right now” I finally finished my blabber and started to walk towards the front door. “Ellen wait, his my twin brother, well evil, he wants to get back at me for being able to get the crown and not him and saving the girl that we both had a connection to” He said. He was a prince? Or maybe a king? “ what girl?” I questioned. Shit what if that was me! “8 years ago, there was a girl, she worked at a bar, Vincent and I both had a vibe for her and our sole mate connection. We said who ever met her first got to have her. We never saw her after that. All I know is I saved her when her mother got shot and men were about to shoot her, that’s all. Why am I telling you this!” Mark said realizing that he just told me a great secret of his. Tears were now falling down my cheeks. Mark was the one who saved me, the one who saved me. “hey hey hey, why are you crying?” Mark questioned. I took a deep breath. “The girl that you saved, she was me, I am the girl you saved, you saved my life from those people” I said with the tears running down my more heavily. I had just found the person who had saved me from the murders of my mum. “ that was you, I found you before Vincent “ He said with a grin on his face. “technically Vincent found me first, but he he has tried to kill me I am not going to the man EVER again” I said. I looked at him with hop in his eyes hoping he would understand the pain I was in. “you are never going to see that man again don’t you worry I cant let you, not when he tried to kill you, as a royal I cannot allow this to happen” He said rubbing his hand up and down trying to calm me. I took a deep breath, “I threw away all my Id’s and stuff like that I got rid of all of it cause I was going to run away and never go back to the town” I said now realising that I cannot go back. “stay here for the night, we can try and figure out what to do in the morning” he said. I looked up to him and nodded. My body was awfully tired I realized and then I looked at my wrist watch and saw it was 2am! What the hell! He walked me up towards the stairs. “wait isn’t that woman in there, I can take the couch?” I asked and then stopped in my spot. “maxine has left and I will never do that again after I have met you, She jumps out of the window. There’s a spare bed room up here anyway” Mark said. I walked into the room and closed the door behind me without saying goodnight. When I hit the pillow I was dead to the world.
MARK POV
She was the girl I saved that night. She was the bar girl. My brother was after her because he claimed she was his mate. I took a deep breath and my fist went flying towards the wall. I looked at the wall, the hole looked as though a hammer had gone threw it 70 times. My phone started to ring. The called ID flashed up. VINCENT MONK. “brother, long time no see, iv heard you are causing quite the havoc” I said keeping my voice at a simple calm tone. “you have the girl, I saw her first I get first claim” He said voice as angry as you can get. “what no hello brother back? How sad, the girl ran to me, we said whoever she went to first go first dibs, she ran to me” I said now my voice stepping up a tone. “but you forgot she came to e first, to my house to ask questions I win” I could hear the smirk in his voice. “poor brother she ran away from you can came to, iv got her now iv got her, goodbye brother” I say and hung up the phone knowing I would be hearing from him soon.
