"I constantly put on a phoney grin; no one understands what feelings I'm experiencing right now..."
(Y/N's POV)
Finally, the lessons are over! I need to get some rest at home and unwind by simply reading some manga that I recently acquired from the school library.
"Mom! I am back home!!" I informed my mom.
"Hello dear, how was your day?" asked mom.
"It was alright, mom. How was your office today?" I asked her.
"It was hectic today, dear. Come downstairs for lunch after cleaning up. I have important news." Mom instructed me.
" Okay, mom, I will be back in a few minutes." I replied back.
After a few minutes, I came back to the dining area to have my lunch. When suddenly, mom asked me...
"Dear, didn't you ever feel that our family is incomplete?" Mom asked me. This sudden question made me puzzled.
"Why mom? What happened?" I asked her.
"Dear I actually h-ha-have..." Mom stuttered.
"Have what mom?" I asked, being confused.
"Iactuallyhaveaboyfriendandheproposedmeandweareplanningourweddingnextmonth" Momsaid it all in one go, making me chuckle.
"Mom, you can rap well! Go ahead and give some auditions!!" I commented.
"I have a boyfriend and we are planning to get married next month!" Mom said it clearly this time, making me stunned. I didn't expect this sudden news from her.
"Don't joke, mom! This month isn't April. " I said.
"No dear, it's not a joke, I am really getting married." Mom confirmed it.
"Okay, mom, I will adjust this time. I have seen you struggle your whole life after dad passed away. You deserve your happiness. Have a good life!" I told her. I have always seen her suffer. Now it was her time to be happy after so many ups and downs in our lives. I was always an obedient daughter.
(Mom's POV)
I still can't believe it! I was anxious for nothing because she accepted the marriage. Due to my apprehension, my heart was pounding so hard that I could finally sigh with relief.
