56: Menace

(Chapter - 56)

"Hyung! Sunoo!" Jay with a worried face appeared in the room. "Y/N is having a panic attack again and is struggling to breathe." Sunoo took no time to rush to where Y/N was currently resting as Heeseung gave Jungwon a temporary termination notice and was busy dealing with him and his confusing tactics. The others also left at the same time when Jay took Y/N to rest in a separate room. The only person remaining in the room currently was Jungwon, who was having his own regrets after he had messed up in front of Heeseung.

Jungwon was surely a professional when it came to signing deals and combat but often lost it when it started poking his personal bubble. Jake, Sunghoon and Niki were currently present in their garage, boasting to each other about their new bikes and were wearing their gears for a race and were talking about Jungwon's behaviour towards Y/N and their strange beef.

After giving medications to Y/N, Sunoo was out of the room and was wandering around the corridors of the mansion, looking for people to talk with and then it clicked him that he had to be present in the meeting room alongside Heeseung and Jay to have a video conference with his father. He politely entered the meeting room and sat himself on the swivel chair as he greeted his dad with a stressed and tired face. 

Their father was always there to appreciate Sunoo and always took his stand as the guy was too clever and strategic towards the situations the mafia was placed into, besides Heeseung. It was evident when Sunoo made an eye contact with Heeseung and Jay that the talk they were having with their dad was serious and was taking a worse turn. He was not happy at all regarding Jungwon and his strange behaviour. 

The meeting concluded with the focus being targeted on Jungwon. The three brothers sighed in relief as soon as the meeting ended, blaming their frustrations towards Jungwon, but hopefully they presented the situation such that none was facing a brutal punishment for a while now.

"I have a feeling it was really not Jungwon who led her to the club." Sunoo declared unanimously, leaving Heeseung and Jay flabbergasted. "What? You need some sleep we will discuss this tomorrow." Heeseung patted his back and left the meeting room. "Take a good night's sleep today, Sunoo." Jay, too, left the meeting room after thinking that he was not in the right mind due to exhaustion.

Sunoo sighed in defeat and decided not to push up his conspiracies upon them until tomorrow as they both were tired from the whole day mess, tackling the situation with the younger ones and then their dad. He decided to bring up the matter up later in their hangout room in university.

Next day

All of the siblings were quietly eating their breakfast as a thick tension in the air surrounded them all. No one knew who was right and who was not. Everyone pretty much kept to themselves, until someone unexpected returned back.

It was their dad and their stepmother

"How are you guys doing? Are you all getting along with each other?" Y/N's mother asked the guys, who nonchalantly replied by nodding their heads. She was completely unaware of the things going amongst the siblings unlike their father.

"We shall head to university, Y/N, it's your first day, we shouldn't be getting late today." Jake grabbed her hand and took her to his car as Niki trailed behind. "Why is that nonsense lady back to our house?" Niki asked Jake, who was driving peacefully. Before Jake could even correct him, Y/N interrupted feeling highly offended, "Excuse me, she is my mother and I am still sitting in the car." 

"She doesn't even care about you. She just left you here by yourself. What if we were not treating you well?" That just hit her like a stone. "That's absurd, don't spoil her mood early this morning, Niki." Jake commented, who was driving peacefully. "Don't mind his words, Y/N and revise for your test." Y/N nodded as she skimmed through her notes.

"Doesn't Jungwon hyung have his test too?" Niki asked Jake, causing him to cuss under his breath. "He won't be appearing here at any costs as per my knowledge." Jake said it loud enough to reaffirm Y/N. "Both of you meet me near the parking and don't be late." Jake instructed them as he parked the car.

"Niki..." Y/N tugged his sleeve as soon as she entered the class. "What happened?" He seemed to be puzzled as she stopped abruptly. She shakily pointed towards Jungwon, who was casually sharing giggles with his friends.

"What is Jungwon doing here?" Niki muttered under his breath as he knew the day wasn't gonna end perfect for the siblings.
