Kindergarten
It's the very first year of real school you experience. When both your parents drop you off and aren't going to pick you up until the very end of the day...8 hours later. It's where you make your very first school friends and have play dates with them everyday after school. My experience? Nothing like that. I was a happy LOUD 5 year old :) always smiling and laughing and wanting to be friends with anyone and everyone. I never thought my loudness would be a problem until, during the first week of kindergarten, my teacher told me my laugh was so obnoxious and fake. I know now she didn't do something like that because she hated me or wanted to be rude to me, maybe she was having a rough time or just wasn't a fan of children. But throughout that week she forced me to sit out during many class activities claiming I was "too hyper and needed to calm down". Why am I telling you this story? Obviously none of you are in kindergarten, but I want you all to know that no matter what aspect of you it is someone has a problem with, don't stop. I still laugh loudly and have heard plenty times how "fake" it sounds. But that's shit because who are they to tell you something about yourself? Your you, your beautiful. So smile your toothy smile or laugh your obnoxious laugh. Be you and screw what others say because words do define you...but it's your words that do the defining. Your actions express you so show how happy and original your lovely self is. Stay Strong Lovelies <3
