so i had this mental war this morning about something related to kotlc/pjo/harry potter, so only read this if you're familliar with all three universes.
so. to begin with.
i know a gazillion people in the world love kotlc. but some people, including me, say that after a point, kotlc gets a bit... shitty. so i'm gonna take you through all those reasons why! and about pjo and hp, i will be making some references to those and maybe some comparisons, so yeah.
why tf does sophie have five powers?! it's not normal!! sure, we get it. she's the main charecter and she needs to be "special", but five powers???
maybe black swan made her like it, yeah yeah. but bruh, you can't just give her five powers, i can't-
like, let's take percy jackson. he's the son of the big three, which is like sophie being a polygot and a telepath. ok, good. that's fine. but sophie having five powers is like percy having all the powers from the big three. just plain stupid and too much.
and harry potter. his "rise to fame" or whatever when he was a baby was because of his mom, it wasn't self-earned. there's nothing special about him, actually. then, kiera, why was he "the chosen one"?
well, because voldemort was stupid.
both harry AND neville were possible chosen ones, but voldemort went with harry because he too was a half-blood. so yee, dumb reason.
so yeah! just plain stupid!
it's too long! like bro, wtf, EIGHT BOOKS?!
you can't write eight books and expect people to still follow, sHaNnOn mEsSaNgEr!!
yes, i know. harry potter has seven books. but maybe make a sequel series, idk! eight books is too much for me! and after a point, it just doesn't have twists and turns that excite you anymore, ken?
also, after a point, i feel like she only wrote the books for the ships, sophitz and sofeekee. like, nO-
and what was it with throwing out dex like that?!?! my baby did not deserve that!!!
AND AND. when tam and linh song were first introduced, there were described as "k-pop idol looking" or something. but tbh, i think that's insulting, cuz they were asian and asians usually have a stereotypical look, don't cha think??
anyway, these are just some of the problems i have in the book series. but no offense to shanon messenger, though!
