I woke up again at about 10 from another nightmare. I just couldn't find out what exactly it was scaring me.
"Are you okay?" Ricky asked as I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. I grabbed an apple out of the fruit basket and bit into it.
"Yeah why?" I asked.
"I heard screaming coming from Connor's room and I was nervous," he said.
"Oh. I was having some seriously terrifying nightmares," I responded, thinking about the last one I had.
I was floating. I cant really describe it but my feet weren't on the ground. It was almost like I was flying above the clouds, slowly rising. I looked down at my family, who were crying. I just didn't know why until I saw me... dead.
I cried at the horrible sight and screamed from frustration because it was like my body was leading me up and not letting me go down to comfort my family by going back into my body.
It was horrible to see my family... and Connor.
"You sure you're okay?" Ricky asked again.
"Yeah sorry if I startled you," I responded.
"No problem. Just as long as you're okay."
Thats when we heard footsteps. We both looked at the stairs and waited to see someone's face.
"Good morning," Connor said, trying to fix his hair. He had his morning voice now.
"Morning," I said, looking back down at my apple and taking another bite.
"How did you sleep?" Connor asked me.
"Well.... I had a bunch of nightmares but besides that I was fine," I responded.
"Oh that sucks. Are you okay?" Connor asked.
"Yeah I'm fine."
"Hey Rickster. What are your plans for today?" Connor looked at Ricky. Ricky walked over to me and sat next to me at the dinner table. We were sitting on bar stools.
"Oh I don't know. I really didn't plan to do anything," Ricky said, looking Connor in the eyes. Connor looked down and smiled.
"You want to hang out with my sister, dont you?" Connor asked, giggling and looking back up at Ricky. My eyes widened.
Me? Why does he want to hang out with me?
"Maybe. If thats okay with you?" Ricky turned and looked at me.
"Sure!" I responded, excitement filled through my body.
I didn't have a crush on ricky, but hanging out with one of Connor's friends couldn't be that bad, right?
"Awesome! Just do whatever you need to and we will meet downstairs in 50 minutes. Cool with you?" Ricky asked me.
"Yup!" I said and ran upstairs.
I ran into Connor's room and change real quick. I fixed up my hair and makeup and ran downstairs. I hugged Connor, who jumped a little, and walked back to the bottom of the stairs.
"Ricky you almost ready?" I yelled up the stairs.
"Yup!" He responded a few seconds later by starting to run down the stairs. But when he saw me, his mouth dropped.
"What? Is there a bug?" I said, looking around.
"No. Its nothing," he responded. He walked downstairs and past me, opening the door and letting me pass.
"Thank you," I said.
